God is Well-Able to Keep Us!

Did you ever consider that if sin weren’t so alluring and enticing, people most likely wouldn’t sin? It’s the allure that entraps people. But, God has already planned ahead for us to be able to resist the “sin” temptation.

Yes, we’re all tempted to sin in one way or another. It’s the result of the curse in the earth. However, anything that God requires of us, He has already made a way for us to be able to do it. That’s because He is righteous and holy and only does what is right. Remember, He loves us with an everlasting love and that LOVE has provided everything we’ll every need on planet earth. Praise the Lord of glory!

Let’s look at I Peter 1:5:

1 Peter 1:5 (KJV) 5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

The word kept means to guard, preserve, protect. And notice that we are kept by the power of God through faith. It seems that everywhere we turn, we have to use our faith. It’s not just knowing the scripture that will keep you. You have to believe it and walk in it by faith. Everything we do, we must do by faith because everything works by faith and that’s how we please God. That’s how we enter into His promises.

So, if it’s not working for you, check up on your faith level.

Next, let’s look at Ephesians 3:20:

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) 20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Not only does God promise to keep us, but it is according to the power that works in us. That power is the dunamis power of God—the miraculous, explosive, miracle-working power of Almighty God. That should say it all! But, how much of that power is working in you? The way to assess it is according to how much Word is working in you. How much faith in God’s Word is developed in you? That’s the indicator of how much power is working in you.

The good news is that we determine how much power we have operating in us by how much active Word is in us. Then, using our faith, we can access that power and be the victorious blessings that God has called us to be.

We are well-able to resist temptation because we have self-control in our reborn spirits. Temperance is self-control. But, even though we have self-control in us, we still have to yield to it or it’s of no effect. Remember, God has already done His part. He’s already provided everything we’ll ever need and also the way to do it. But, as you know, we have our part to do. If we don’t do our part, it won’t get done.

So, you see, you are the one who determines whether or not you yield to sin or to the fruit of your reborn spirit. You can do it. Go for it and walk in victory!

Galatians 5:22-24 (KJV) 22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) 13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Light Begets More Light

Psalm 36:9b (KJV) 9… in thy light shall we see light.

What does this scripture mean that in His light shall we see light? Let’s look closely and glean some truth from this verse.

Light is a powerful force in the earth. It scatters the darkness and exposes what has heretofore been hidden. It’s the same with God’s light. When you walk in the light of His Word, you “see” things that you didn’t see before. We call it revelation of the Word.

God is light and in Him is no darkness (I John 1:5b). This means that if you walk in the light of God’s Word, you’ll really walk in the light and His light will expose and reveal to you the things that you otherwise would not see.

Light exposes the hidden things of darkness. That’s one of the reasons that criminals like to do their dirty work under the cover of darkness. But moving right along, let’s look at the positive side of light’s exposure.

We know that God’s Word is replete with revelation upon revelation and that we, as human beings on planet earth, will never fully know all there is to His Word. It will take all eternity for God to reveal it to us. But we can know in part and to a greater or lesser degree, we, as individuals can glean revelation from the Word as we walk in the light of the revelation that we do have.

Light begets light. As God’s Word is revealed to you, if you’ll walk in it, then He will reveal more to you. There are layers upon layers of truth in every verse and it takes diligence and commitment to peel back the layers. We’ve never exhausted all the revelation that’s in any one scripture.

Remember when you first began to study the Word and how exciting it was to understand something for the first time? Then, as you continued to study, all of a sudden, you received more revelation regarding the same verse? This will continue to happen because there is so much wisdom and revelation in His Word that we can only grasp bits at a time.

I remember an incident when I gave someone a mini book of the Gospel of John. He returned it a short time later saying that he had read it! He completely missed the whole point. He was to keep it and read it over and over to glean God’s truths from it. And that’s what I think happens to many people. They read the Bible in part and feel that once they do that, they’ve accomplished a monumental feat and can move on to something else. They have no clue of the richness of God’s Word and that therein lies the answers to all of life’s questions.

We all need more light of God’s Word and should sincerely desire it. This goes along with loving His Word. Then, as we put forth the effort, and it will take effort, we will get more light and revelation that will change us forever!

1 John 1:5b (KJV) 5   … God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

John 8:12 (KJV) 12  Then spake Jesus again unto them saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Luke 12:2 (KJV) 2  For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Hebrews 4:13 (KJV) 13  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

What’s Your Focus?

So, what’s your focus? We’re always focused on something and it’s either positive or negative. It’s our choice.

In any given situation, you can focus on the problem part or the solution part. You can be upset about what’s wrong or be thankful for what’s right. Too many times we get sidetracked by the negative part because it screams so loudly that we forget that there’s a multitude of things to be thankful for.

Focus is a matter of perspective. The half full glass vs. the half empty glass is a classic example. Either way, the glass is only filled half way but it’s your perspective that determines your attitude. Negativity never gets the blessing because it’s so busy being negative that it misses the very blessing that’s been there all the time.

Sometimes we misinterpret situations and make our own problems when there really isn’t one. Many times it’s not a problem unless you make it one.

Another thing to keep in mind is that negativity can be very habit forming. I’ve seen where people get into it and that’s all they see – negative, negative, negative. It’s really hard to be around them because they’re so focused on the wrong things and not the things of God.

Let’s do ourselves a giant favor and focus on whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of a good report. And keep a thankful heart, continually praising the Lord for His goodness to us!

Philippians 4:6 (KJV) 6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:8 (KJV) 8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Walking Dead Men

1 John 5:12 (KJV) 12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Did you know that you’re living on planet earth among walking dead men? According to I John 5:12, if you don’t have Jesus, if you’re not saved – born-again – you are dead!

Now, that doesn’t mean you’re not breathing, but rather that you’re not enjoying the fullness of the abundant life that Jesus came to give – John 10:10. You’re not spiritually alive. You can’t get what Jesus gave unless you have Jesus!

When we speak of walking dead men, it’s not physical death because they’re still walking around. But we’re talking about spiritual deadness. When you get born again, you’re body doesn’t get born again, it’s your spirit, the real you, that comes to life. That’s the part that contacts God, that’s the part that the Holy Spirit speaks to, leading, guiding, and directing you.

Your mind (your soul) doesn’t get re-born. It gets renewed by feeding on God’s Word. Then when your spirit and mind line up with the Word, your body lines up because it’s two against one.

You can never get too much Word in you! We who are born again will live throughout all eternity, using faith and walking in God’s Word. Faith is forever because God is a faith God. Actually, it’s the faith of Jesus in us! Praise the Lord for His unspeakable gift.

John 10:10 (KJV) 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) 20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Why Do Bad Things Happen? Part II

In Part I, I said that unless you have committed your ways to the Lord, He’s under no obligation to protect you.

2 Timothy 1:12b (KJV) 12  … I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Even so, God does provide for the heathen, otherwise, they would all perish without getting saved. That’s all part of His grace in the earth.

Matthew 5:45b (KJV) 45  … for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Getting back to our topic of why bad things happen, let me reiterate that God gave Adam and Eve dominion over this earth and they were supposed to subdue it the same way God does things—with their words. They were made in the image of God Who brought all things into existence with His Words. And that’s what they were supposed to do.

Fast forward and we see that according to Jesus, we are supposed to take dominion over the circumstances of life with our words. In fact, you are, today, the product of the words you have spoken throughout your life: fear, doubt, anxiety, unbelief or faith, hope, love, joy, truth, etc.

Romans 10:9-10 is not only true for salvation, but your very life. What you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth is what you get.

Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) 9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) 20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

In Ephesians 3:20, we see that God works according to the power that works in us. No power in us, no working of God’s power. So, how do we get the power in us? By getting born-again and filled with His Holy Spirit and getting the Word in you. There’s power in God’s Word because God’s faith is in His Word. He and His Word are One. The more Word, the more faith, the more power! Yes, many are compliant in that area but the power is still not working—why?

Let’s look at Philemon 6:

Philemon 1:6 (KJV) 6  That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

God’s power doesn’t work automatically but according to what we believe. We have to acknowledge that His power is in us and able to cause manifestation in our lives. Many people won’t believe that, let alone confess that the power of God is in them to enable them to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out evil spirits.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Now let’s look at another scripture:

1 Peter 1:5a (KJV) 5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith …

Everything goes back to faith – do you believe or not? And just for the record, believing is not with your head, it’s with your heart. You don’t have faith in your head, you have faith in your heart. It’s always a heart issue with God. Believing with your head is mental assent. Believing with your heart is where the power is.

So, tying it altogether, we see that since God has already done His part by giving us His promises, it remains for us to do our part and that is to walk by faith and not by sight and trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not lean to our own understanding. But above all, to commit ourselves to Him in everything. That way we stay under the umbrella of His protection.

There’s one more thing I want to mention: the blessing of the tither. In Malachi 3:10-11, we see that God rebukes the devourer – the devil – for the tither. It’s called Tither’s Rights. But, you have to believe it in order to partake of the promise. This will keep you in good stead.

We have to fully commit to following the Lord: studying His Word, walking in His Word, and doing His word. We can’t be hearers only and expect the blessings to fall on us like ripe cherries off a tree. Surely we’re smarter than that!

Christianity is not a religion—it’s a relationship with Almighty God through His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. And if your commitment is anything less than wholehearted, you’re in for torment and heartache.

The devil is out to rob, kill, and destroy and he doesn’t care whether you’re saved or not. He’s out to rob your faith so that you have no protection from God. His protection is like an umbrella. If you stay under the umbrella of His Word, you’ll be protected. But outside the umbrella is the curse and the curse respects no one! The only protection is faith in God and His word which puts an invisible shield of protection around you.

Remember the Israelites in the land of Goshen? The plagues stopped at God’s invisible shield, thus protecting the Israelites. The Egyptians were not so fortunate. The plagues attacked and devastated them.

God’s heart is to protect us but if we get out from under His umbrella, His hands are tied. The curse is running rampant and will continue ’til Jesus comes back.

So, what do we do? Commit your all in all to God. Actually make Jesus the Lord of your life, not just your Savior. Grow in faith in God’s Word and watch great things happen in your life!

2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV) 7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 5  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Malachi 3:10-11 (KJV) 10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

John 10:10 (KJV) 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Why Do Bad Things Happen? Part I

Why do bad things happen to the good, bad, saved, and unsaved? That’s a question that’s been asked many times by many people—maybe even you. But, even though we wonder about that, the question is a wrong question. The question should be, “Why weren’t they protected?” Let me explain.

It doesn’t take much to know, without a doubt, that bad things happen. Just look around you, or better yet, just turn on the news which should really be called: All the news that’s not fit to hear!

Believe it or not, there really are good things happening around the world but it’s probably not “sensational” enough. People seem to be drawn to the gross and morbid!

Now, getting back to the original question about why bad things happen, even to good people. We don’t seem to have a problem when bad things happen to bad people, but why good people? Why Christians?

I mentioned earlier that the original question is a wrong question. The question should be asked, “Why weren’t those people protected?” God has given us many promises of protection but many seem to fall short of the manifestation of those promises.

Let’s go back to Genesis and find out what happened in the beginning. In Gen. 1:26  we find that God gave Adam and Eve dominion over the whole earth but when they sold out to Satan, they opened the door for Satan to move right in and with him came the curse. Everything on planet earth is under the curse. Everything is getting old, decaying, and dying. And if God hadn’t intervened by removing Adam and Eve from the Garden, they would have eaten of the Tree of Life and lived forever in the state of sin and under the curse with no way out. There would have been no hope for the human race.

But God had another plan. (God always has a plan!) He removed Adam and Eve from the Garden, they didn’t eat of the Tree of Life. Therefore, the way was now open for God to send the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, to redeem mankind back from the devastating effects of the curse and make a way for those who believe to be able to spend eternity with Him.

However, the curse is still in the earth. Jesus didn’t annihilate the curse. Satan is still legally the god of this world. What He did do was redeem us from the curse so that it doesn’t have its debilitating effect on us. But, it’s up to us. We have our part to do. God has already done His.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV) 4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

God is well able to protect us from evil but only if we commit ourselves to Him.

2 Timothy 1:12b (KJV) 12  … for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 5  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

As we see, God has provided for our protection but only if we do it His way by committing all our ways to Him. Otherwise, He’s under no obligation to guard and protect us. It’s only the grace of God in the earth that protects those who are not committed to Him.

Even Christians can be guilty of not committing all their ways to the Lord and therefore are not under the umbrella of His protection. That opens the door for the enemy to move in and clobber them. Don’t be like that. Stay under God’s protective umbrella, committing all your ways unto Him, and win every time.

[More to follow in Part II.]

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

1 Peter 1:5 (KJV) 5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Don’t Let Your Past Dictate Your Future

Some people don’t need their enemies to beat them up because they do a good job of it themselves. How many times have we punished ourselves mentally because of our past mistakes? Too many, I’d say.

First of all, when we get born-again, all of our past is forgiven – wiped cleaned. Our sins are remitted which means that they are forever gone and forgotten by God.

Psalm 103:12 (KJV) 12  As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Secondly, when we sin after we’re born-again, we confess our sins and God is just and righteous to forgive us by the Blood of Jesus.

1 John 1:7 (KJV) 7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:9 (KJV) 9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

So, what’s our problem? It’s the devil who condemns us and tries to keep our past mistakes in the forefront of our minds. We need to recognize that it’s him and not blame God. God is not the One Who is telling us we’re so unworthy and such a failure. God is on our side and He’s rooting for us! We are His special treasure!

Malachi 3:17 (KJV)17  And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. [Margin says special treasure.]

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, the born-again ones. God doesn’t condemn you and He’s the One Who counts!

Romans 8:1 (KJV) 1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:1 (AMP) 1  THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

If you continue to let your past condemn you, you will hinder the plan and purpose God has for you. Everyone makes mistakes and misses it. You can’t live on planet earth without missing the goal sometime or other. The point is that you must confess the mistake, forgive yourself, and get back up and go forward. Why listen to the devil when he’s a liar and is out to steal, kill, and destroy? Jesus came to give you abundant life to enjoy. Enjoy it!

Proverbs 24:16a (KJV) 16  For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again

John 10:10 (KJV) 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

How Can You be Upset When You have the Solution?

Why is it that we, as humans, get upset first, and then look for the solution to our problems? Wouldn’t it be wiser to go to the solution and then rest in that? The answer, of course, is yes!

So, where are these “solutions” that we have available to us? You guessed it – God’s Word! Why would our heavenly Father, Who loves us with an everlasting love, expect us to go through this life on planet earth, left to our own devices and solutions? He wouldn’t and He hasn’t. Everything we’ll ever need to be successful and victorious has already been provided for us.

Yes, God has so graciously provided for our every need in His Word. That’s His part. Our part is to receive that Word and walk in it. Let me give you a few examples:

For our sins, He bore them on the Cross.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed

For sickness, He has already healed us by the stripes of Jesus.

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes

1 Peter 2:24b (KJV) 24  … by whose stripes ye were healed.

Mark 16:18 (KJV) 18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

For poverty, Jesus became poor so that we might become rich.

2 Corinthians 8:9 (KJV) 9  For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Psalm 84:11 (KJV) 11  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Matthew 6:33 (KJV) 33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Mark 11:23-24 (KJV) 23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Philippians 4:19 (KJV) 19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

For deliverance, He has given us His Name so that we can resist the devil and he will flee.

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Philippians 2:9-10 (KJV) 9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

John 14:13-14 (KJV)13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. [The word ask means demand. We demand the devil to leave in the Name of Jesus.]

For spiritual death, He has given us eternal life through the Lord Jesus.

John 3:3 (KJV) 3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 1:12 (KJV) 12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) 9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

We have the Blood of Jesus, the Name of Jesus, the faith of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the whole armor of God, and the angels. Plus all of Heaven backs us when we stand on the Word of God in faith and declare His truth over every situation.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV)20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Hebrews 13:5b (KJV) 5  … I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Numbers 23:19 (KJV) 19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Redeemed from What? Part III

Psalm 23:1 (AMP) 1 THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (Psalm 35:27 (KJV) 27  Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Jesus redeemed us from poverty but to hear some people, you wouldn’t think so. It’s almost as if many people are proud of their lack, which is really poverty. They somehow think that it’s a sign of humility to have just enough to get by! Not so according to God’s Word.

God takes pleasure in our prosperity. Never does He say that He takes pleasure in our poverty! Why? Because Jesus bought and paid the price so that we don’t have to be poor. In fact, the scripture He preached in the synagogues was:

Luke 4:18 (KJV) 18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

He preached the gospel – the Good News – to the poor so that they didn’t have to be poor anymore. How awesome is that!

As you know, God doesn’t change and His Word doesn’t change. He says what He means and means what He says.

2 Corinthians 8:9 (KJV)
9  For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich1, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich2.

Rich1plousios – wealthy

Rich2plouteo – to become wealthy, be increased in goods, be made rich

Jesus left the riches of Heaven and became poor so that we could be increased in wealth in this earth. And here’s the reason why:

Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV) 18  But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

How can we preach the Gospel to the whole world if we don’t have the finances to do it? That’s the main reason for increasing in our finances. But that’s not all.

God never requires anything of us without giving us something in return. But we have to give Him something to work with.

When we tithe, He opens the windows of Heaven and pours out a blessing on us.

Malachi 3:10 (KJV) 10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

When we give to the Gospel, He says we can believe for 30, 60, and 100 fold return.

Matthew 13:8 (KJV) 8  But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

But, as I said, we have to give Him something to work with – if you multiply a hundred times nothing, you still have nothing!

Let’s start doing things God’s way and enjoy the benefits of our Redemption!

Luke 6:38 (KJV) 38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Redeemed from What? Part II

Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV) 4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Secondly, in addition to redeeming us from our sins, Jesus, at the same time, redeemed us from sickness and disease. God the Father laid all of our sicknesses and diseases on Jesus (on His spirit). He was wounded for our transgressions and by His stripes we were healed. Every foul, wicked, demon of sickness and disease was laid upon Jesus so that we could be redeemed from all that sickness and disease. We don’t have to tolerate it anymore. We can walk completely free from every sickness and disease that has plagued mankind. Our well-being has been bought with the precious blood of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. He bore it so that we don’t have to bear it. Let’s gird up our loins and walk in the divine health that belongs to us.

Thirdly, Jesus died spiritually. This means he was completely separated from the Father. That’s what spiritual death is. We are spirit beings in a flesh body. Our spirits will never die but they can be separated from our Heavenly Father and that’s called spiritual death. That’s what happens to those who die physically without Jesus. They also die spiritually – separated from God the Father for all eternity. When Jesus cried out, Why hast Thou forsaken Me, this was the ultimate part of the Redemption.

Luke 22:42 (KJV)42  Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Jesus had always been with the Father – eternally and not ever separated. In the Garden, He asked if that cup could pass from Him. It was the most profound question of all eternity. If God would have agreed, we all would be lost. And remember, Jesus always got His prayers answered. But, thank the Lord, Jesus continued with, “Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done!” It was the separation from the Father that gripped Him; nothing else compared to it. But He accepted all that had to be done to purchase our redemption and bring us back into relationship with our Father God.

Jesus’ sacrifice, His substitutionary sacrifice, was a complete redemption. We are completely delivered from Satan’s dominion and his demonic ways: sin, sickness, poverty, and spiritual death.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV) 4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Now, we have our part to do in enforcing Satan’s defeat. We must stand our ground against his wiles and trickery or he will beat out our spiritual brains. He lies, cheats, steals, destroys, and deceives trying to get us to back off of our faith stand and side in with him. Don’t do it!

You have been given all the spiritual weapons you’ll ever need to stand firm in your Redemption. Jesus already paid for it. Now you must walk in it if you want to live a victorious life. You have been given: the Blood of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Name of Jesus, Angelic protection, the Word of God, the armor of God, the Faith of Jesus.

With these weapons, you are guaranteed to succeed, to prosper, and to live a life worth living. God is on your side and all of Heaven is rooting for you. Go for it!

We have been made righteous in God’s eyes. This means we can stand in His presence without any sense of sin-consciousness, inferiority, or condemnation. All glory to our good and faithful God!

Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) 16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) 17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) 16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV) 4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Galatians 4:4 (KJV) 4  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Philippians 2:5-9 (KJV) 5   Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
