If Love was all it Took, We’d Never have Another Problem! [Part II]

We are the ones who must pray protection over our families: Isa. 54:17; Ps. 91:10-11; Luke 10:19; II Tim. 1:12; all of Ps. 91, pray in tongues, and plead the Blood. Coming to God as a beggar only reveals that you don’t know your rightful place in the Lord, that you don’t know His will for you, and that you don’t trust Him to hear and answer your prayers. [I John 5:14-15]. Case in point is when people solicit as many people as possible – prayer groups, prayer lists, etc. to pray for them or their loved ones. Just how many prayers do you need to get the job done?

Actually, all this says is you’re thinking that the more people praying for your case will change God and get Him to move on your behalf. Well, I have good news for you, God has already moved! Jesus’ atonement was complete and perfect, satisfying the claims of justice forever!

God doesn’t need changing! He’s on your side and has already provided everything you’ll ever need to overcome your problem or situation. [II Pet. 1:3-4] Praise the Lord of Glory for His exceeding grace that He’s poured out on us!

You need to get into God’s Word and find out what He’s provided and then stand on His promises in faith. Kick the devil out and confidently stand on what God has already given and walk out the victory that He’s provided for you. And the goodness of God that’s seen on you will draw the unsaved to want what you have! Glory to God!

Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) 17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Psalm 91:10-11 (KJV) 10  There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Luke 10:19 (KJV) 19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Praise the Lord of Glory — Pamela

If Love was all it Took, We’d Never have Another Problem! [Part I]

Too many times when bad things happen, people wonder why it did because “they really loved” those people – family members, friends, etc.

But is love all it takes? Let’s look into this.

People who have cared for others, especially children and family members, wonder what went wrong when something does go wrong

They reason that they did so much to take care of those loved ones – school projects, after school activities, appointments, shopping, cooking, loving, etc. So, what happened? They poured their love into those people and yet, something bad happened.

First of all, we live in a fallen world and Satan is the god of this world. [II Corinthians 4:4] We also know that we have a free will and God will never override our free will. So, the real question ought to be: why weren’t our loved ones protected?

Let’s check in with God. If love was all it took, then we’d all have it made because there’s no one who loves us more than Almighty God. He gave His all – Jesus – to get us back into relationship with Him. But — we know that bad things still happen to the good, the bad, the saved, and the unsaved. So, there must be more to this situation than meets the ol’ proverbial eye.

As I said, if love was all it took, we’d all have it made. But there’s more to living on planet earth than this. God has, in His divine agape love for us, provided everything we’ll ever need to be victorious on planet earth. But it is only accessed by faith.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

As we see, not only do we please God by faith, we must also believe that He is God and that He rewards us by answering our faith-filled prayers. We are never told to come to God as beggars. Heb. 4:16 tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace to find help in time of need.

Releasing the Supernatural Power of God!

As born-again Christians, we desire to walk in the supernatural and manifest God’s power to a dying world. And rightly so. People need to see that we have something they don’t have but desperately need in their lives.

So, just what is it that we are to manifest that will cause the unsaved to sit up and take notice that we are different and serve a God who does exploits through us?

Do we have joy and peace in the midst of trials and tribulations or do we complain and bellyache the same way as our neighbors? Does our patience outlast the problems? Do we use our God-given authority and take dominion over the devil and his evil plans against us? Are we ready to lay hands on the sick and see recovery? Do we take our authority and use the power of God to overcome sickness and disease?

All of these questions should be answered “yes” if we’re in tune with the Holy Spirit and following His ways because He has come to manifest the Word of God and glorify Jesus. That’s what should be happening in our lives.

The Holy Spirit is constantly leading and guiding us into all TRUTH and magnifying Jesus. And isn’t that what we want – to magnify the Lord Jesus? When people get healed and set free, this glorifies the Lord and brings Him honor.

There’s a sick and dying world out there that needs to be introduced to Jesus and His Word. And just as He used signs, wonders, healing, and miracles to get the people’s attention, so should we. [John 14:12] Then when you have their attention, you have their ears. Tell them the Good News of the Gospel and give the glory to God!

Romans 1:16 (KJV) 16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Mark 16:18 (KJV) 18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

The Most Important Thing You Need to Know is… – [Part III]

Here we are – Part III and it’s the absolute best way to hear from the Lord – speaking in tongues! Why? Because when you pray in tongues you’re praying the hidden mysteries of God! How awesome is that!

1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV) 2  For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

When you’re facing a dilemma and just don’t know what to do, pray in tongues because you’re praying the perfect answer. Then the Lord will speak to you in your spirit and you’ll know what to do. Let me give an example.

When I’m praying for someone with an infirmity, sickness, disease, or any other problem, I don’t know all that I need to know about the situation but God does. Then I pray in tongues and let the Holy Spirit speak to my spirit to give me the answer and show me what to do. Remember, praying in tongues is praying the perfect answer.

So how do we do this? First of all, you must be born-again, having accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. [Rom. 10:9-10] Then you simply ask your Heavenly Father to fill you – baptize – with His Spirit in the Name of Jesus. It’s His will for you, so you don’t have to beg. You simply ask and receive.

Luke 11:13 (KJV) 13  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)

Then stop praying in English, open your mouth, and let your new heavenly language come forth from your belly not your head. You’re going to have to use your voice because you’re the one speaking even though the Holy Spirit is helping you. It’s your voice, your tongue, your mouth,

Sometimes praying with another Christian who’s baptized with the Holy Spirit and speaks in tongues will help you get started.

You can also call Andrew Wommack’s prayer line [719-635-1111] and they’ll pray with you to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Brothers and sisters, we need all the power and enablement available to us as we wrestle against the enemy’s demonic influence arrayed against us. [Eph. 6:12] We need to be quick to hear and obey God’s direction at all times.

So there you have it in capsule form, learning to hear the voice of the Lord and following His leading and guidance through your spirit, the Holy Spirit, the peace of God, and praying in tongues.

We need to practice our faith when things are good because trying to build a boat in the middle of a flood won’t work. Don’t wait for a crisis before you practice hearing from God. Do it now – everyday, all day long and become the giant man/woman of faith and power God has called you to be.

 I Corinthians 12, 13, 14

You can do it — Pamela

The Most Important Thing You Need to Know is…  [Part II]

Continuing along the line of hearing the voice of the Lord, let’s talk about what the voice of the Lord sounds like.

1 Kings 19:11-12 (KJV) 11  And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: 12  And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

In these verses God was showing Elijah that He wasn’t going to speak to him in flashy, spectacular ways but in a still small voice. His voice was not in the wind, earthquake, or fire but in a still small voice. And so it is with us. If we wait ’til we hear a booming voice out of Heaven before we make a move, we’ll be waiting a long time because that is not how God mainly speaks to us.

God wants us to get quiet before Him so that He gets our attention and can speak to us. It’s usually just a sensing or a perception in your spirit. Sometimes it’s words that come up and you think it’s just you.  And yes, it will seem that it’s just you speaking but it’s your spirit. Sometimes it seems just like a thought that comes to you because it comes from your spirit up through your soul – mind.

Then there’s the voice of the Holy Spirit Who resides in your spirit. When He speaks, it’s a more authoritative voice, more of an urgency. When that happens, it’s usually because God wants to make sure you don’t miss what He’s telling you. But, that’s not the main way He speaks to you. Most of us will never hear the booming voice of the Holy Spirit but rather the still small voice of your spirit.

I know I’ve said a lot in a short space but the point is that God wants you to know His voice. How can He expect you to follow Him if you weren’t able to hear Him? But, it takes practice and many people are not willing to turn off the TV and spend time with the Lord to learn to hear Him.

John 10:27 (KJV) 27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Let’s tune into God’s frequency and stay on track and fulfill His plans and purposes for our lives.

The Most Important Thing You Need to Know is…  [Part I]

Okay – what do you think is the most important thing every Christian absolutely needs to know and it could be a matter of life and death? Go ahead and guess – don’t look ahead yet.

As I thought about this, here is what I believe is the most important thing, next getting saved, you need to know to live a victorious life in the Lord: how to hear the voice of the Lord. Yes faith, love, the gifts of the Spirit, etc. are all so very important but without knowing how to hear from God, where are you going and how will you get there?

So, in a very short capsule version (this is Part I) of how to hear God’s voice, let’s begin. First of all, to reiterate, we are tripartite beings because we’re made in the image of God, Who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The real us is our spirit, we have a soul – our mind, will, and emotions and we live in a body – our earth suit. Having said all that, it’s with our spirits, the real us, that we contact God – not with our souls or body.

John 4:24 (KJV) 24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) 23  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) 12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Each of our parts has a voice: our body speaks through our five physical senses – sight, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching. Our souls speak through reasoning and intellect. And our spirits speak through that still small voice that we have to learn to discern because it is how God leads us. It’s the voice of your conscience – to know the right or wrong things that you’re faced with.

Then there’s that peace that passes all human understanding that Jesus has already given us.

Philippians 4:7 (KJV) 7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
John 14:27 (KJV) 27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

If you’re a born-again Christian, then you can trust that peace in your heart when you’re deciding what to do. But if you’re not born-again, you can’t trust your heart. And this, my dear brothers and sisters, how God leads us most of the time – by that peace in your heart. If you don’t have peace about doing something, DON’T do it! Just wait ’til you get more information from the Lord.

We’ll continue this message in Part II but for now, start practicing listening to that peace in your heart. That’s how you get expert at hearing from the Lord – by practice.

More Pot Pourri!

  1. You can’t see the answer looking at the problem! Yes the problem is right there in front of you but if that’s what you’re focused on, you will be constantly frustrated. You must focus on what God has said about the problem and the answer He has provided. What you focus on is the direction in which you will be led.

This is so important because you can’t think negatively and expect positive results. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. [Proverbs 23:7]

  • You will never influence the world by living like it! If our lives and lifestyles are no different than our unsaved neighbors, why on earth would they want to be like us? If we’re just as sick, just as poor, just as depressed, just as discouraged as they are, this isn’t the witness we’re to be.

We have the Holy Spirit of God living in us. We are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. We are more than conquerors. We have the victory that overcomes the world – our faith! Yes we have all of this but most Christians are not walking in the fullness of what God has given them. This needs to change so that we can show forth the goodness of our Father God and cause the unsaved to want Jesus as their Lord and Savior! [Romans 2:4]

  • A bad attitude is like a flat tire; you won’t go anywhere until you change it! Someone once said that attitude determines altitude. This is so true. Nobody likes being around someone with a bad attitude. You have to watch everything you say or they’ll get offended and then you can have war on your hands. Let’s be people of a sweet attitude and let words of blessing and encouragement come out of our mouths. Not only will this bless the other person but it’ll bless you as well!

—Pamela

A Little of This and a Little of That! [Here’s another round of Pot Pourri.]

  1. Fill up with faith and it will displace fear, doubt, and unbelief. If you keep putting the Word of God in your heart, it will eventually crowd out the junk that’s in there. It works all the time with negative things – garbage in, garbage out. What’s in you in abundance will eventually come out and if it’s not good, you have a problem.

When push comes to shove and you’re in a crisis, you don’t want the Fake News coming out of your mouth. You want the Word of God speaking forth His promises and taking your authority.

  • Those who see the invisible can do the impossible! This has to do with faith because faith sees beyond the natural, physical realm into the spirit realm where the answers are. If you can see it, then you don’t need to use your faith on it. That’s why what’s happening in the world situation today is mostly happening behind the scenes. If we knew everything that was happening and how God was actually doing things, we wouldn’t have to use our faith to believe for it.

Faith is the substance of things that we are hoping for. It’s not the things that we actually have in our hand right now. Faith is what we hold onto while we are standing firm waiting for the manifestation. [Hebrews 11:1]

  • Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil – no point! Even if we’re saved but don’t involve God in every aspect of our lives, we really don’t have a vital, viable relationship with Him and it’s easy for us to give up and quit when the going gets rough. He is our stabilizing factor. He is our anchor. He is our reason for whatever we do. This is living a life worth living!

The Power of Words! [It’s those words again!]

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) 21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

This is such a powerful scripture and remember this is God’s Word. Words have power. With our words we bless, comfort, lift up, change circumstances, heal, deliver, and even create because we’re made in the image of God and that’s what He does with His Words.

However, even though we can speak life with our words, we can also speak death with our words. Our words can hurt, tear down, manipulate, destroy and even kill. But that’s not what God intends for us to do with our words.

We’re to use our words the same way God uses His Words – to change circumstances! You see, God doesn’t just use His Words to communicate but to created and change circumstances as we see throughout the whole Bible.

Let me show you one very important thing about our words.

Proverbs 15:4 (KJV) 4  A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Proverbs 4:20-22 (KJV) 20  My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Proverbs 16:24 (KJV) 24  Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Notice the word wholesome and the word health. It’s the same word in Hebrew –  marpé – which means: medicine, cure. That means our words act as a medicine and a cure, for us or for others. How awesome is that!

We need to be speaking words of life in all we do if we want to have the victorious life that the Lord has ordained for us.

Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
23  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Guard your heart by guarding your words – Pamela

Do You Really Know What Mustard Seed Faith is?

Matthew 17:20 (KJV) 20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Luke 17:5-6 (KJV) 5  And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
6  And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

At first glance, it appears that Jesus is saying that all you need is a tiny bit of faith to get the job done. And technically that’s true. But there’s more to what Jesus is saying if we look closer.

The disciples wanted Jesus to increase their faith but Jesus said that all they needed was a mustard seed-size faith and it would work, but – He goes on to say what that means.

He tells the disciples how to use that small seed of faith to produce results and that means SAYING. Jesus told them if they had faith as small as a mustard seed, they would SAY to the mountain to remove itself and it would obey them. But they are the ones who had to do the saying. They weren’t to leave it up to God. He didn’t say it would obey God but would obey them! That’s huge!

Yes it’s God’s power but we have to activate it by our speaking and commanding. Too many people just stop at the fact that they don’t need much faith to do the job but they totally ignore the fact that they are the ones in control – the ones who have to do the saying if they want results. And, brothers and sisters, they have to speak in faith! That too is huge!

Now, here’s some more insight into mustard seed faith. The mustard seed is the only seed that can’t be hybridized. It can only produce mustard seeds. It can’t be mixed with any other seed and produce something different. That means that the mustard seed faith can’t be mixed with anything else and still be effective. It can’t be mixed with fear, doubt, and unbelief and still produce the desired results.

That small faith MUST be pure and uncontaminated in order to work. And that, my friends, is where most Christians miss it. They think they can pray and then say any ol’ thing and their prayers will still work. No they won’t. You can’t pray one thing and then continue to confess negative things of doubt and unbelief. That’s not faith and it won’t work no matter how much you cry and beg God.

I know this might sound strong but if you really want to grow in faith, you have to learn some things that might be ouchies. And this is probably one of them.

Stay in God’s Word until it becomes the explosive power of God in you — Pamela
