You Can’t Build the Third Story on an Empty Lot!

Who would ever think of doing that, you might ask. Well, let me explain the analogy.

First of all, whenever you build something, you need a foundation – the starting point upon which you’ll build your project or idea. And as you know, if the foundation is shaky, everything else is at risk of imploding.

We can easily see this in the natural, physical realm but what about the spiritual realm, which is actually a higher realm than the natural realm? This is where most people miss it.

People say they believe certain things but what is it based on? What is the foundation – the benchmark – the starting point? If the basic premise of what you believe is faulty, then your whole belief system is skewed and in danger of imploding.

We must ask ourselves why we believe what we say we believe. If it’s not based on God’s Word, as the final authority – the benchmark from which everything is measured, then it’s faulty and the devil and all his unbelief, lying wonders, and pretended miracles can get in there and wreak havoc.

We do have a Sure Foundation upon which to build – Jesus Christ, the Chief Cornerstone! Jesus is the Word and we’re to build upon the Word because it’s the ONLY sure foundation that won’t crumble and fall but will see us through now and throughout all eternity!

The bottom line is this: We have to make a sincere and deliberate commitment that God’s Word is The Truth – no matter what anyone else thinks and not even what we think! Since when did humans ever become smarter than God? Really!

So, get into God’s Word, commit to believing it with all your heart, and watch it come alive right before your eyes!

2 Timothy 2:19a (KJV) 19  Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.

2 Timothy 2:19a (AMP) 19  But the firm foundation of (laid by) God stands, sure and unshaken, bearing this seal (inscription): The Lord knows those who are His.
Ephesians 2:20 (KJV) 20  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) 12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) 12  For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
John 1:1, 14 (KJV) 1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Are We in the End-Times?

Actually, we’re in the end of the end of the end-times! And as Charles Capps said, “It’s later than it’s ever been!” Just look around you and you’ll see scripture being fulfilled right be for your eyes. Let’s look at what the Word of God has to say about these times.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV) 1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Wow! Talk about what’s going on in the world! And this was written thousands of years ago! If you don’t think we’re in the end-times, just look around! Sometimes I wonder if things can even get worse but then again, the devil hasn’t come up with any new tricks. He just changes the cover and use the same tactics because they work!

All you need to do is listen to the “fake” news or open your Yahoo page and there it is – all the evil people are doing and you don’t really need to see that! It’s like nothing is sacred anymore – the grosser the better, in their minds.

Let’s look at another scripture:

Matthew 24:6-7 (KJV) 6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Here’s another example of prophecy in God’s Word about the end-times. Notice that nation shall rise against nation. That also means ethnic groups against ethnic groups. In fact, we in the USA just celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. day. That whole civil rights movement came to a head in the 60s because of Dr. King’s “never-give-up” attitude. Unfortunately, we still have those same prejudices 60 years later! The end-times? It surely is!

Then we have our government which is supposed to govern but they spend so much time fighting with each other that I wonder if they’ll ever agree on righteousness. The end-times? Oh, yeah!

Proverbs 19:5 (KJV) 5  A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

Remember, this is blog, not an end-times dissertation. So what do we do and how do we continue on in life, knowing that the end is close? Good question.

First of all, we need to be sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt that we’ve made Jesus our Lord and Savior. Then we need to find out what God’s plans are for us and get on track to fulfill them. There’s no safer place than right in the center of God’s will for our lives. This is not a time to be fearful but to be prepared and armed with God’s Word.

Notice what God says about us:

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) 9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

And here He’s speaking about the Church – you and me:

Ephesians 5:26-27 (KJV) 26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

God loves us and is always looking out for us. But we have our part to do. We need to feed on His word so that we’ll be ready for anything that comes along. And, as I’ve said so many times, fear and faith are opposites and fear will cancel your faith in a nano second!

We need to commit to trusting God on a daily, hour by hour, minute by minute basis. That’s where the peace comes in because Jesus is our peace and it already resides in our re-born spirit but we have to yield to it.

God is so good and has graciously provided everything we’ll ever need on planet earth to be victorious. Let’s do God’s will and show forth His goodness and lead many to salvation in Jesus!

1 Peter 3:12 (KJV) 12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 John 5:14-15 (KJV) 14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Proverbs 16:6 (KJV) 6  By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Is the Background Noise Draining Your Faith?

How many times have you gone shopping only to hear so much annoying background noise that they call music coming over the PA system? Some of it can be quite offensive and even cause you to shop quickly just to get out of the store!

But wait – that’s not all we hear in the “background”. What about TV commercials advertising all kinds of drugs and even glorifying sickness and disease? Does this actually affect us? Yes, it certainly does!

Listening to any kind of negative input will eventually affect your faith and cause unbelief to embed itself into your mind (soul) and eventually get down into your heart (spirit). This also includes the daily news!

That’s when it becomes dangerous because it will drain your faith. All that negativity is called unbelief and unbelief will negate – cancel out your faith. And even though you might have some faith operating, the unbelief will cancel it and you won’t get your desired results.

Now would be a good time to ask: how in the world can you have faith and unbelief operating at the same time? Because you can have faith for what you’re believing for but in the back of your mind the record of unbelief is playing: it won’t work this time, it’s taking too long, you haven’t done everything right, etc. So what’s the answer?

Drain the unbelief! Cut it off! Stop listening to all those negative commercials, negative friends, so-called traditions that are contrary to the Word of God, and even the news! Just know much negative news do we need to feed on every day? Remember, everything you listen to is feeding you and most of it you really can’t afford to eat! What you see, hear, smell, taste, touch can cause unbelief if it’s contrary to God’s Word. That’s why Jesus told us to be watchful about what we hear because it will get in us and multiply – good or bad!

Mark 4:24 (KJV) 24  And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

When you drain the unbelief, your faith will begin to function the way it’s supposed to – even a mustard seed-size faith will work wonders if it’s not contaminated by unbelief.

There’s so much to do and we need to be operating on “high power” in these end times. Let’s get rid of unbelief, get into God’s Word, and get back on track in developing our faith so we can move mountains!

Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) 23  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 4:23 (AMP) 23  Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

Matthew 17:19-21 (KJV) 19  Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? [Speaking of the demon.]
20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. [Speaking of unbelief, not casting out the demon.]

Romans 10:17 (KJV) 17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Mark 11:22-23 (KJV) 22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Whose Faith is it, Anyway?

If you’ve been a Christian for any length of time, you know that without faith it’s impossible to please God [Heb. 11:6]. So, you say, that’s great, if only I had the faith that pleases God! But guess what—we do have the faith that pleases God. Let’s look at some scriptures and see what God has to say about our faith.

Romans 12:3b (KJV)  … according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Galatians 2:20 (KJV) 20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
2 Peter 1:1 (KJV) 1  Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Notice that everyone who gets born-again receives THE measure of faith, No one gets more or less. We all get the same “lump” from the beginning. What we do with the “lump” is up to us! And not only that – we get the faith of Jesus!

Have you ever wondered why some people always seem to get their prayers answered and others struggle with one prayer request? Do they have more faith? Does God have favorites? The answer, of course, is no they don’t have more faith and God doesn’t show favoritism. He loves each of us the same [Acts 10:34; Rom. 2:11; Eph. 6:9]. However, He does respect faith and you can’t please Him without it – but we do have it; we just need to use it!

God’s heart is to always answer our requests when we pray His Word in faith. And He always does but sometimes it’s us who don’t receive. Remember all the promise of God are yes. So if you find it in the word, you can have it!

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Because we’ve each been given the same amount of faith when we got born-again, it’s now up to us to develop it. That’s our part, God’s already done His part, now we must dig in and do our part.

Developing your faith is similar to developing your muscles. Even though each of us is born with the same amount of muscles, not all of us are walking in the same muscular strength. We need to exercise our muscles if we want them to develop. It’s the same way with our faith. We have to exercise it in order for it to develop. We don’t get more faith, we just “expand” the measure we have! And Jesus said we only need a mustard seed size of faith to move a mountain, referring to the mountains, problems, and issues in our lives!

Matthew 17:20b (KJV) 20  … If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Don’t you just love God’s Word! He has so graciously provided everything we’ll ever need on planet earth to be overcomers and live a life worth living. Glory to God!

Romans 10:17 (KJV) 17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

We develop our faith by hearing, and hearing, and hearing God’s Word. That means over and over and over – not just once and done! And remember, faith is our positive response to what God has already given us by His grace. But we have to get into the Word to find out what that is and then stand on His promises and watch them come to pass in our lives!

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him:for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Acts 10:34 (KJV) 34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Romans 2:11 (KJV) 11  For there is no respect of persons with God.
Ephesians 6:9 (KJV) 9  And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

It’s in the Same Package- Part II

So far (in Part I) we’ve seen in scripture that we’re redeemed from the curses of the Law and redeemed to the blessings of Abraham and all that Jesus bought and paid for in  our redemption – healing, deliverance, preservation, soundness, and wholeness. Why then, does it seem like we’re in the same proverbial boat as the unsaved instead of abounding in the blessings?

Colossians 2:15 (KJV) 15  And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) 8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Notice in the above scriptures that Jesus defeated Satan and our part now is to draw near to God, resist Satan and his evil cohorts, and they will flee in terror. So what’s the deal?

The deal is that Satan has no authority on this planet except what we give him. He wasn’t born here and needs a body to operate on earth. That’s why he has to use people who will yield to him so he can operate through them. If he could, he’d kill every human being on planet earth in a nano second, but he can’t.

If we’ll stand our ground and enforce Jesus’ defeat of him, we can live free from Satan’s fear, bondages, and intimidation. His only power is our passivity, non-resistance to him, and focusing on what he’s doing instead of what God has already provided for us. If we don’t stand our ground, the devil is free to beat our spiritual brains out and make us think that God’s trying to teach us something! We need wake up!

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

As you can see, we must submit to God first and then resist the devil and he will flee in terror!

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

This promise belongs to those who have been born-again because Jesus purchased it at the same time He purchased forgiveness for our sins. But in order to partake of this blessing, you must be fully persuaded and know that your healing has already been bought and paid for. It’s God’s will for you to have it. But, if you don’t know that it belongs to you, you can’t have faith to believe for it.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Yes all, every one of God’s promises, are for us now and forever. If it’s in His Word, it belongs to us. It’s our choice to believe and receive or doubt and do without. You choose!

Our Heavenly Father is faithful, holy, righteous, and worthy of all praise. We serve an awesome God Who loves us beyond measure in spite of what we do or don’t do. His love is unconditional. We’re His beloved children and He has made provision for every area of our lives!

Glory to God for His unspeakable gift!

Hebrews 13:5b (KJV)  … I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Matthew 19:26 (KJV) 26  But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Isaiah 46:9-11 (KJV) 9  Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11  Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

1 Kings 8:56b (KJV)
56  … there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

Pamela

It’s in the Same Package! [Part I]

When Jesus went to the Cross, He not only purchased our salvation – remission of our sins and right standing with God – but He also purchased our deliverance from sickness and disease. It’s in the same package! Let’s look at some vital scriptures.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV) 4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

As you can see, healing was purchased for us at the same time our sins were remitted. Actually salvation includes healing, deliverance, soundness, preservation, and wholeness – the whole package. But too many times we have fallen for the world’s way of doing things instead of God’s. What medical benefit package can beat Jesus’ “Affordable Health Care” and the price?

So, how do we get from where we are to where we want to be and partake of God’s blessings that He has so freely given us? How do we undo all the wrong teaching and believing we’ve been exposed to and are guilty of? Read on.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Yes, all the promises of God in Jesus are “yes” but today I’m focusing on healing.

Let’s go back to Deuteronomy where we find the blessings of Abraham and the curses of the Law. Deut. 28:1-14 are the blessings and verses 15-61 are the curses.

Deuteronomy 28:61 (KJV) 61  Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

Notice that all sickness and disease are curses of the Law. Now look at Galatians:

Galatians 3:13 (KJV) 13  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

We’re redeemed from the curse of the Law which includes every diabolical sickness and disease known (and unknown) to mankind! That should tell us, without a shadow of a doubt, that sickness and disease are not from God! Jesus paid it all!

There is no redeeming value in being sick and God does not get glory from sickness and disease, no matter who says He does!

So, if we’ve been redeemed from the curses, why are people still sick? Good question. If Jesus paid the price for our salvation, why are people still unsaved and going to hell?  Because we all have a free will to either accept and appropriate what Jesus has done, or reject it and do without His provision.

Even though you can still sin after you’ve been saved, you don’t have to. Likewise, you can still get sick after you’re saved, but you don’t have to. Jesus made a way and our part is to learn how to appropriate the blessings He paid for on the Cross. And that means using our faith to access God’s promises and live a life that’s worth living!

Revival – How do We Get it?

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (KJV) 4  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

As you are probably aware, there are many people praying for revival in our land – oh that God would move among His people! Yes, people are wanting revival but are they going about it the right way?

Do you think that God’s people want revival more than He does? I think not! God is all for revival as are His people. So what’s the problem?

Let’s look at the opening scripture. Paul says that it wasn’t his eloquent persuasive speech to the Corinthians but the power of God, in demonstration of the Spirit. That’s what got their attention. It was God moving in healing, deliverance, signs, wonders, etc. that showed forth God’s goodness to them.

We see this in the life of Jesus – signs, wonders, miracles – to get people’s attention.

That’s what we’re to do. If we show forth God’s goodness in signs, wonders, miracles, healings, etc., it’ll get their attention and then we can preach Jesus and His anointing. If we do that, we’ll have more revival than we ever imagined!

So, what’s the holdup? People are stuck in their traditions and unbelief. I know because I recently mentioned this to a local pastor about signs and wonders and it went right over his head!

I really don’t understand why people would rather keep their sickness, disease, problems, poverty, etc. instead of believing God’s Word to set them free.

I’m still looking for a group of believers who will stand on God’s Word and watch Him move miraculously in their midst. That will certainly cause revival and I want to be right in the middle of it all! God’s looking for a people who will stand up and let Him be God in their midst!

2 Chronicles 16:9a (KJV) 9  For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him

John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Matthew 10:7-8 (KJV) 7  And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

2020 – A New Beginning!

So, we begin a new year – a year of new beginnings! It’s like having a blank canvas right before our eyes and we’re the artists who will paint something beautiful.

The beginning of anything usually seems fresh and exciting but what happens when we get settled in and revert back to our old ways – the ones we endeavored to change by making New Year’s resolutions?

Many of us will make “resolutions”, hoping to keep them. But is that what it’s all about? What should we be doing at the beginning of this new year, and to some, a new decade? It was just ten years ago we embarked on a new millennium and look at all that’s happened in just ten years!

Actually, this is a time to reflect on all the blessings of the Lord and how He faithfully kept us in trying times and in the good times. And if you feel short-changed in the blessing department, know that the blessings are always out there – more than you can think, know, or imagine. But – they’re only accessed by faith. God isn’t stingy. He has more blessings for you than you can ever use on planet earth. And if that doesn’t light your fire, as they say, your wood is wet!

Let’s look at some appropriate new beginning scriptures that I hope will be an encouragement to you.

Colossians 3:17 (KJV) 17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

If we abide by this scripture by doing everything we do in the name of the Lord Jesus, it would virtually, do away with New Year’s resolutions because we would be doing what pleases the Lord and that’s what we ultimately want.

I recall an incident that Keith Moore related about a man who wanted to quit smoking. Brother Keith gave him this scripture and told him to confess it every time he lit up a cigarette. Well, fast forward and in about two weeks, the man had lost all desire to smoke and was completely delivered! Praise the Lord!

 Colossians 3:23 (KJV) 23  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Here’s another scripture that will help you in all you do, whether at work, home, or out and about. Yes, there are any number of tasks, requirements, obligations, etc. that we deal with, some pleasant and some not so pleasant. But, if we do everything as unto the Lord, not unto those around us, it would make a huge difference in our attitude and ultimately affect us for good. And that’s what we should want, right?

Be yourself and let God change you into what He has for you.

2 Corinthians 10:12b (AMP) 12  However, when they measure themselves with themselves and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding and behave unwisely.

Let’s be all that God has for us to be and fulfill His plans for us. There’s no better or satisfying place to be than right smack in the middle of God’s will.

Happy New Year and may the blessings of the Lord chase you down and overtake you!

2 Corinthians 10:12b (AMP) 12  However, when they measure themselves with themselves and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding and behave unwisely.

Pamela

You are a Treasure!

2 Corinthians 4:7 (KJV) 7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Malachi 3:17 (AMP) 17  And they shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I publicly recognize and openly declare them to be My jewels (My special possession, My peculiar treasure). And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.

How many of you actually feel like you’re God’s special treasure? Too many times we see ourselves only in the natural realm instead of in the spiritual realm as God sees us. We see our faults. God sees us through the Blood of Jesus, cleansed and made whole. How awesome is that!

So, just what is this treasure we have in our earthen vessels? It’s the Holy Spirit representing our Lord Jesus and empowering us to do the works that He did. Wow – this is almost too good even as I write it!

Romans 8:11 (KJV) 11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Colossians 2:9-10 (KJV) 9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

We have the same Spirit in us that raised Jesus from the dead! It’s almost too good to grasp but it’s true nonetheless. We truly are powerhouses for God! So, why don’t we see the power of God manifested more?

John 4:24 (KJV) 24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

As you know, there are two realms in existence: the physical realm – which we contact with our five physical senses, and the spirit realm, where God exists. And because God is a spirit, we have to contact Him – spirit to Spirit.

Getting back to the treasure we have in us, it’s in the spirit realm, in our reborn spirit. And since it’s in the spirit realm, we have to draw it out with our faith. Don’t let this be confusing to you. I’ve been teaching this all along in my blogs. Everything works by faith.

Whatever you need is already in your reborn spirit. God has already provided everything you’ll ever need on planet earth to be victorious and successful. But – your part is to reach out and receive it by faith.

Faith is the bridge from the spirit realm to the physical realm. When you “see” it in the spirit realm by faith and receive it by faith, then it manifests in your physical realm. This works for healing, deliverance, provision, protection and anything else you need. (Remember, this is a blog, not an in-depth teaching.)

2 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV) 3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

We have to make a total commitment that the Word of God is true, no matter what anyone else says. Because – if you edit the Bible by picking and choosing what you will or will not believe, you’ll never come into the fullness of what God has for you.

Let’s be a people who believe God’s Word and see it in manifestation in our lives and thereby help others to experience the goodness of God  and be drawn to Him.

Romans 2:4b (KJV)  … knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Colossians 3:2 (KJV) 2  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Matthew 13:46 (KJV)
46  Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

The Gospel is the Power of God!

Romans 1:16 (KJV) 16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

If the gospel is the power of God, why aren’t we seeing it in demonstration?

Mark 16:17 (KJV) 17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Notice in the above scripture that signs are to follow those who believe. Are you a believer? Are signs following you? Let’s look into this.

If we’re not seeing signs and wonders, etc., it’s one of two reasons: either we don’t believe that signs and wonders are to follow us or we’re not preaching the gospel because signs follow the preaching of the Word of God.

If we preach salvation, people get saved – right? Well, if we preach healing, guess what – people will get healed. If we preach prosperity and provision from God, people come out of poverty and lack. I think you get the point. What we preach is what we get. So, why isn’t the entire gospel preached?

Paul told the Corinthians that it wasn’t his eloquent speech that would get the job done but demonstration of the power of God in their midst. That would certainly get their attention!

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (KJV) 4  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

I personally think that those who should be preaching the full gospel are not doing it because they really don’t believe it themselves. They really don’t know all that God has freely given us and therefore they can’t preach what they don’t know.

All we need to do is to look in the scriptures which are replete with God’s promises to us – those that He has freely given. Our part is to reach out and take hold of those promises. We’re to be the ones who show forth the goodness of God so that others can come to the Lord and live a life worth living.

1 Corinthians 2:11-12 (KJV) 11  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
