Does the Word of God Offend You?

What? How can I even ask such a question? Because many Christians are offended at the Word of God and I’m going to show you how deadly that is.

Mark 4:16-17 (KJV) 16  And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17  And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.

Notice that these people heard the Word of God and received it with gladness. But they were not rooted in the Word so when affliction or persecution arose for the Word’s sake, they were offended. Just what does that mean?

The word offended in verse 17 comes from the Greek word skandalon which means a trap, like the one used to trap animals. Obviously this is the devil trying to trap a person so they don’t believe the Word of God.

So how does this happen? Let’s say you are afflicted with some kind of sickness. You pray and pray and nothing seems to get better. People try to tell you that God’s Word doesn’t work and you start to believe them based on your experience. You have become offended and even angry because you didn’t get the results you were expecting.

Or, suppose your Christianity comes into question and you’re called one of those people? Do you take offense? This happened to me soon after I got saved. I was teaching sixth grade and one of my students came to me to report that another student had called me a Jesus freak. He wanted to know what I would do about it. I said, “Tell him thank you very much,” showing that it was an honor that someone noticed my love for Jesus! That’s what you must do instead of taking offense when someone tries to belittle you for being a Christian and take your stand against the evil that’s being perpetrated upon you.

You see, if the devil can get you offended, he is well on his way to getting you to compromise the Word of God and what you believe. And know this: what you compromise to get, you will lose!

Brothers and sisters, we need to fully commit to standing on God’s Word no matter what the circumstances look like or what people say. God’s Word is true and is forever settled in Heaven.

Psalm 119:89 (KJV) 89  For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Are You Discerning the Signs of the Times?

2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV) 1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

As someone once said, “It’s later than we think!” And how true this is and getting truer every minute!

So what are the “signs of the times” and should we know them and can we know them?

Matthew 16:3 (KJV) 3  And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees and Sadducees and called them hypocrites because they couldn’t discern the signs of the times. So that tells us that we are well able to discern the signs of the times because Jesus would not have rebuked them if it weren’t possible to do so.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV) 1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Yes, brothers and sisters, we definitely are to discern – recognize – the times we’re living in because so much is happening at such a rapid pace and we need to be aware of it so we can prepare ourselves. And As Rick Renner says, God doesn’t tell us these things to scare us but to prepare us.

Looking at II Tim. 3:1-5 [above], we see that perilous times are upon us. It doesn’t take much observation to know how true this is. Rick Renner defines perilous in the Greek: chalepos – as vicious, ferocious, fierce, unruly, uncontrollable, and unpredictable. Sounds like the days we’re living in!

So what do we do? Read and meditate the following scriptures that show how graciously God has provided for our every need. Our part is to commit totally to Him in everything and watch His glory manifest in our lives! There a many more scriptures but these will get you started.

Romans 8:37 (KJV) 37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
2 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) 14  Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

2 Corinthians 2:14 (AMP) 14  But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere,
Psalm 1:1-3 (KJV) 1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Hebrews 13:5b (KJV) 5  … for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

John 16:7 (KJV) 7  Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

John 16:13 (KJV) 13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 14:26 (KJV) 26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) 17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) 8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Traditions – Are They Good or Bad?

Traditions, traditions, traditions! We all know what these are and we probably engage in some ourselves. But, in the whole scheme of things, are traditions good or bad? And how do we know?

According to the dictionary, a tradition is a custom handed done from one generation to another but a more insightful definition from the American Heritage dictionary is: a tradition is a set of such customs viewed as a coherent precedent influencing the present. This is very interesting because it shows how ingrained these traditions can be.

So, I ask you, are they good or bad? It depends on what they’re based. If they’re based on godly, Biblical traditions like family prayer and Bible study time, giving thanks at mealtimes, church attendance, etc., then they’re good.

But if your customs/traditions are based on things that aren’t true – like Santa Clause, the Easter bunny, Halloween, or even talking to loved ones who have died [like at the cemetery], then these traditions are bad and make the Word of God of no effect.

Mark 7:13 (KJV) 13  Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

We should never teach our children to believe something to be true when it isn’t. That will confuse their believing the real truth about Jesus and cause them to question whether or not what we tell them about God is actually true.

The bottom line is that we need to examine what we believe or do as our traditions and customs based on the Word of God. If they contradict God’s Word, we need to separate ourselves from them and live our lives according to what God has said. Then and only then, can we be confident that victory is ours!

God Keeps What We have Committed to Him!

Have you ever thought or even said, “Why did God let that happen?” Well, first of all, God only let’s happen what we let happen. What I mean by this is that we are the ones who really control how much God can actually move in our lives. Yes, He is the do-all, end-all but He won’t override our free wills. Therefore, He is not controlling everything that happens on planet earth or in our lives. And everything that happens is not necessarily God’s will.

So, when someone asks why God let that happen, it’s wrong question because He was not the one who let it happen. We are!

Too many times, actually most of the time, people want to blame someone else for their misfortunes and a lot of the time they blame God. He is not the One who let or stopped something from happening.

Remember Genesis 1:26 where God gave Adam and Eve dominion over the entire planet? Well, things haven’t changed. Jesus bought back that lost authority and dominion and now it’s time for us to take our rightful stand in the Lord and take dominion over planet earth and everything that has to do with us.

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

If bad things happen, we need to look at where we opened the door for the enemy to get access to us.

2 Timothy 1:12 (KJV) 12  For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

This verse tells us that God will keep those things that we have committed to Him. What have you committed to Him? What haven’t you committed to Him? These are serious questions that we need to ask ourselves.

1 Peter 1:5 (KJV) 5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) 20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Notice that God keeps us by His power but it’s according to the power that works in us. And that means according to the amount of Word that’s in you because that’s where the power is – in His Word. Most people wouldn’t be able to fill a thimble with the amount of Word that’s in them. How on earth can they expect the power of God to work on their behalf if there’s no power working in them?

If you’ve been a Christian for any length of time, you should know that it’s the Word that you have to stand on to get results because the Word is where faith is and that’s how we please God and get results.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

By standing on God’s Word, we are protected, provided for, empowered, healed, delivered, and experience the victorious life that He has provided for us!

Psalm 138:8 (KJV) 8  The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me:

Philemon 1:6 (KJV) 6  That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV) 1  Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:4 (KJV) 4  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Everyone Wants a Bargain!

Who doesn’t want a bargain? We all like bargains and even more than that, we like telling others about our great deals!

Think about some of the bargains you’ve gotten over the years – discounts on clothes, food, hobbies, equipment, and even expensive toys!

But did you ever think about what the all-time best bargain on planet earth is? It’s God’s gift of Jesus, Who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could be in right standing with God. Salvation is the ultimate, all-time BEST bargain!

You see, there’s no way we could even have come close to paying the price that Jesus did. We didn’t even qualify in the first place. He had to be perfect in order to qualify and pay for our sins. But sad to say, most of the eight billion people on planet earth are never going to partake of this Bargain – God’s salvation. And it’s not because they haven’t heard. Yes, some still have not heard the Good News of the Gospel. But that’s changing rapidly. We have so much technology today that it’s just a matter of time before everyone on planet earth will have been exposed to the salvation message of Jesus Christ and then we’re “outta” here! Praise the Lord!

However, since we’re still here, we have a job to do before Jesus comes back and we must be about our Father’s business!

Let’s tell people about God’s ultimate Bargain and set the world on spiritual fire!

Acts 4:12 (KJV) 12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV) 5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Philippians 2:10 (KJV) 10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) 9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Titus 2:11 (KJV) 11  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
John 3:16 (KJV) 16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:3 (KJV) 3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The Flesh vs. Demons

I was blessed to get born-again during the Jesus Movement / Charismatic Movement – way back in 1971. And what a glorious time that was because it was so easy to witness to just about everyone, anywhere!

Another characteristic of that time was the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the outpouring of His gifts. But as you know, when God is moving the devil always tries to rear his ugly head. Hence, a big emphasis on deliverance from evil spirits, so much so that deliverance ministries started popping up all over. I witnessed both of these characteristics of that movement.

However, what I didn’t realize that demons were not the cause of everyone’s problems. Yes, satan and his evil forces are always behind all evil, but what most people have to deal with on a regular basis is not the casting out of demons behind every door or under every rug. What they, and I’m speaking of Christians, have to deal with is their very own flesh! And as you know, the flesh can be very stubborn at times!

Look at the list of the works of the flesh:

Galatians 5:19-21 (KJV) 19  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Here we see what God calls the works of the flesh. These are not demons to be cast out but lusts and habits to be dealt with and overcome. We are the ones who have to deal with our flesh and keep it under. You can’t cast out the flesh – your carnal, natural part. We have to keep our flesh in check and keep it under control.

Yes, I believe in deliverance, casting out of evil spirits, and resisting the devil but for the most part, we are the ones who must take control and rein in our fleshly desires that contradict the Word of God. We have authority over gluttony, gossip, unforgiveness, selfishness, anger, and the list goes on.

Too many times I witnessed Christians wanting deliverance from evil spirits rather than taking charge of their flesh. It really wasn’t demons at all but a weakness of the flesh. In the end, they didn’t really get a handle on their problems.

God has so graciously given us all the tools we need to be overcomers and victorious in every area of our lives. He’s already done His part. Now we must do our part.

Let’s purpose in our hearts to get our flesh under control so we don’t give the devil an opening to trap us. God sees us as winners! Praise the Lord of Glory!

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Matthew 18:18-20 (KJV) 18  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.19  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Believer’s Authority – Part II

Continuing from Part I, we’re not just pawns in the hands of the devil. God has given us authority over our circumstances – dominion.

Now, when I talk about the enemy, I’m not just referring to the current virus. Viruses come and go but what about hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, and all kinds of debilitating diseases? What are we to do about those things? The same thing we’re to do about everything else on the earth – take our God-given authority and dominion over them in Jesus’ Name!

Let’s look at some more scriptures.

John 14:12-14 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

John 15:7 (KJV) 7  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

John 16:23 (KJV) 23  And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Philippians 2:9-10 (KJV) 9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Notice how important the Name of Jesus is. We have been given power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus to take authority over the works of the devil. But if we don’t do it, it won’t get done. Crying, whining, and begging God won’t get the job done because He’s given us the dominion mandate and now the ball is in our court!

Sadly, most Christians don’t know about their authority or are ignorant in how to use it. Hopefully your eyes are being open to the truth of God’s Word in this area.

As I’ve said many times in other blogs, I believe we’re on the brink of a major move of the Holy Spirit. But we need to be ready and be in a place where God can use us. Jesus is coming for a triumphant, glorious Church without spot or wrinkle – no wavering – just pure trust and belief in God’s Word!

Brothers and sisters, as I’ve said, these are exciting times for those who are tuned into the things of God. Let’s purpose to be ready so we can be part of this next great outpouring!

Mark 11:23-24 (KJV) 23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Mark 16:17-18 (KJV) 17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Ephesians 1:22-23 (KJV) 22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV) 9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 0  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Are You Just a Pawn in the Chess Game of Life?

[The Believer’s Authority – Part I]

Are you just a pawn in the Chess Game of Life or do you have God-given dominion over your circumstances? If you’ve been reading my blogs, you know what I have to say about that: Yes, we do have dominion over the circumstances that confront us and we’re not just pawns in the hands of the satan! We have a Covenant with Almighty God, the Creator of Heaven and earth and on that we can stand. But, if you don’t know your covenant rights, the devil can dupe you and lead you down a path that was never meant for God’s children.

So, what does all this mean and why should we care? Very simply – II Tim. 3:1 :

2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV) 1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

These are definitely perilous times and perilous means very, very dangerous and even life-threatening. Just look around you! The Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul was right on in warning us 2000 years ago and we’re seeing it transpiring right before our eyes. [Read II Tim. 3:2-5 for details.]

Who would have thought that schools would close, businesses would shut down, people would be quarantined at home, and the economy would be on the verge of collapse? This would have been laughable a few years ago.

In the beginning of 2020 the USA was better economically than it had ever been and people were prospering. But all this changed suddenly due to an uncircumcised Philistine called Covid 19!

So, what did people do? They feared the invisible enemy – the virus! And we know what fear does – it paralyzes you and causes confusion and deception to reign and unleashes control freaks!

Now I can understand this happening to the hypocrites and unsaved but what about God’s Covenant people? How did they respond? Unfortunately, much the same way as the unbelievers. That’s not acceptable! Let’s take a look at what God has given us to be overcomers.

1 John 5:4 (KJV) 4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

This verse tells us that our faith overcomes the world. But what is it about faith that overcomes? It’s our belief in God’s Word! You can’t have faith in God outside of His Word because that’s where faith is – in His Word.

Let’s go back to the beginning where God gave man dominion.

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Here we see that God commands us to take dominion over the earth! That surely covers what’s going on all around us. And even though Adam sold out to satan, Jesus bought it all back for us!

How can we let an invisible enemy or any enemy ruin our lives and end up controlling everything we do? Simply because people believe the devil’s lies more than God’s power through us to take authority over it. We’re not orphans. We have a heavenly Father who loves us and has provided everything we’ll ever need to be successful and victorious on planet earth. We need to stand on that authority and see victory in our lives. [To be continued.]

Matthew 10:1 (KJV) 1  And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) 17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Luke 10:19 (KJV) 19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

You Can’t Build the Third Story on an Empty Lot!

Who would ever think of doing that, you might ask. Well, let me explain the analogy.

First of all, whenever you build something, you need a foundation – the starting point upon which you’ll build your project or idea. And as you know, if the foundation is shaky, everything else is at risk of imploding.

We can easily see this in the natural, physical realm but what about the spiritual realm, which is actually a higher realm than the natural realm. This is where most people miss it.

People say they believe certain things but what is it based on? What is the foundation – the benchmark – the starting point? If the basic premise of what you believe is faulty, then your whole belief system is skewed and in danger of imploding.

We must ask ourselves why we believe what we say we believe. If it’s not based on God’s Word, as the final authority – the benchmark from which everything is measured – then it’s faulty and the devil and all his unbelief, lying wonders, and pretended miracles can get in there and wreak havoc.

We do have a Sure Foundation upon which to build – Jesus Christ, the Chief Cornerstone! Jesus is the Word and we’re to build upon the Word because it’s the ONLY sure foundation that won’t crumble and fall but will see us through, now and throughout all eternity!

The bottom line is this: We have to make a sincere and deliberate commitment that God’s Word is The Truth – no matter what anyone else thinks and not even what we think! Since when did humans ever become smarter than God? Really!

So, get into God’s Word, commit to believing it with all your heart, and watch it come alive right before your eyes!

2 Timothy 2:19a (KJV) 19  Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.

Ephesians 2:20 (KJV) 20  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) 12  For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

Does God Talk to You?

That’s a fair question but how many people can answer yes to it?

John 10:27 (KJV) 27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice so that means He’s talking to us.  Then why do Christians say they don’t hear Him?

I believe God, by the Holy Spirit, is constantly speaking to us, Spirit to spirit. However, we don’t always hear because we’re so distracted by what’s going on around us. We’re cluttered with the things of this world and they’re screaming so loudly that it drowns out the still small voice of the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever done something and it didn’t turn out the way you expected and then you thought I had a feeling that I shouldn’t do that? If you retrace your steps you’ll find that the Lord was speaking to you before you made that move.

The still small voice of the Holy Spirit is just that – still and small. You have to be tuned in to really hear what He’s saying. And that’s not where most people are – tuned in!

We live in perilous times as you can witness on every level. It behooves us to have an inside tract to what is going on and the only way to do that is to be tuned in to the Holy Spirit and what He’s saying. God’s Word is our guide and the Holy Spirit will never speak contrary to it.

As you know, the things of the world can really usurp our attention and get us focused on the wrong things instead of what God is saying. We have to get the Word inside us and continue to stand on it at every turn. Only then will we see the desired results we want. God has always made a way for us, in spite of what’s going on in the world. Unfortunately many Christians have just ignored His leading in favor of the worldly view.

Jesus cautions us to steer clear of the cares for this world so we won’t be caught off-guard in any situation.

Luke 21:34 (AMP) 34  But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose;

We have a job to do before Jesus returns and we need to be doing it. We have not yet seen the Last and Final Move of the Holy Spirit but I believe all signs indicate that it’s imminent. Praise the Lord of Glory! Are you ready?
