Take the Plunge!

It’s time to take the plunge and jump in! The time for dipping your toes is over and we must get down to the business of the Lord!

Have you ever wondered why we aren’t seeing the signs, wonders, and miracles of the Early Apostolic Church? Why aren’t we seeing John 14:12 in manifestation? Surely God’s power hasn’t diminished so why the lack of manifestation?

John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

As I look around and observe the present day Christian Church, I am appalled at what I see, or rather, what I don’t see. It seems that many churches, if not most, have been baptized in unbelief! All you have to do is make a statement that it’s always God’s will to heal and you’ll find that unbelief is running rampant in the Church at large! This is unacceptable.

The reason I’m addressing this issue is because I believe we’re on the brink of a major Holy Spirit outbreak – a revival of renown or a Great Awakening, as some are calling it.

One week before Smith Wigglesworth went home (1947), he prophesied that the first move of the Spirit would bring a resurgence of the gifts of the Spirit. Then a second move would be a revival of the teaching of the Word of God. He then said, when these two moves combine, we’d see the greatest move the Church has ever seen. I believe this is about to happen because we’ve already seen the first two moves back in the 40s to the 70s and upwards.  But the last move is still in the wings.

So what’s our part? We need to dig in and get ready because when the next move occurs, many will be healed, delivered, set free, and come into the Kingdom of God. I’m hoping those who are backslidden or straddling the fence will also get right with the Lord. Oh, what a glorious time this will be!

And I want to be right in the middle of it! What about you?

Joel 2:28-29 (KJV) 28  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29  And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

What You Compromise to Get, You’ll Lose!

Compromise – isn’t this the way to get along with everyone? No, it isn’t and I’ll explain why.

As the title of this blog says, “Whatever you compromise to get, you’ll lose,” isn’t referring to the get-along-gang. It’s dealing with core beliefs. Many people have compromised their beliefs to climb the ladder of success only to find out when they got there, it wasn’t worth the price they paid. Even in recent times we’ve seen this splattered all over the news. Some have paid a very high price and actually lived to regret it!

But, what about us – the born-again, Bible-believing, spirit-filled Christians, who are to be the light of the world – the salt of the earth? What about us?

Compromise is compromise – no matter who’s doing it. I’m not talking about acquiescing to others or preferring others. That’s good. I’m speaking of compromising your core beliefs – compromising what you stand for in order to be accepted by others. This is unacceptable and displeasing to God.

In Rev. 2:6,15 God says twice that He hates the deeds of the Nicolaitans, who compromised their beliefs in Him. They left their first love!

Revelation 2:6,15 (KJV) 6  But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
15  So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

So, how does this happen? How does someone, who has a bonafide relationship with the Lord, fall into compromise and leave their first love? By changing their focus! Instead of going to God when things get tough or don’t work out the way they want, they take their focus off of God and go the way of the world.

Some even blame God for not answering their prayers and then turn away from Him as if it’s His fault! However, what they fail to realize is that God is faithful, faithful, faithful! The problem is never with Him because He has already supplied the answer. The problem is with us. Of course, there is the devil to deal with but God has already given us power and authority over him. But we must take our rightful place, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee.

What you focus on is what you will follow. If your focus is on getting promoted on your job at any cost, you’ll compromise. If fitting in with the in crowd is your focus, you’ll compromise. But it won’t be worth it because you’ll find yourself sorely lacking when you go to seeking the Lord’s help and find your prayers bouncing off the ceiling and hitting you smack in the face because your fellowship with the Him is broken and your heart condemns you! It’s just not worth it!

Brothers and sisters, we need to wholeheartedly commit to following Jesus, no matter what it costs us because in the end, it’ll be worth it and we’ll have no regrets!

Matthew 5:13-14 (KJV) 13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) 8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Is Your Flesh Ruling You?

As I have talked about in other blogs, we are three-part beings: spirit, soul, and body. Your spirit is the real you – the part that got born-again. Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions, including your intellect and reasoning – your conscience. Your body is obvious. It’s your earth suit that houses your spirit and soul. It’s your flesh and that’s how you contact the physical world around you, with your five senses.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) 23  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Having said all that, I want to look at the body – also called the flesh or the carnal part of us – what we need to in order to function in the earth. However, the problem arises if that’s all you live by because there are two realms – the physical realm which you see all around you and the spirit realm which, for the most part, is invisible to us. It’s very real but we don’t contact it with our five physical senses or our soul – our intellect. We contact the spirit realm with our re-born spirit. That’s the realm where God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the angels operate.

I said all that to say this: if all you’ll ever believe is what you can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch or reason with your mind, then you seriously limit God in how much He can work in your life. God is a Spirit and we must contact Him spirit to Spirit.

John 4:24 (KJV) 24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Now, I realize science and the medical field have come up with some tremendous discoveries and many people put their trust in that. However, what do you do when they don’t have answers to your problem? What do you do when a hurricane or tornado approaches and you feel completely vulnerable with nowhere to turn? God’s Word has the answers!

Brothers and sisters, that’s why I write these blogs – to inspire, empower, and encourage you to put your trust in God and His Word. He has never failed us and never will. There are no faith failures – just people who failed.

But, there is a catch. We have our part to do. God has already done His part. We have to get into His word and learn His ways so we can fulfill the plans He has for us and live a victorious that’s worth living!

Are You Aware of Your Angels?

Hebrews 1:13-14 (KJV) 13  But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14  Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

There are angels all around us but most people – Christians – don’t even know this and therefore can’t acknowledge it. And that’s not good. Look at the next few verses:

Hebrews 2:1-3 (KJV) 1  Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2  For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3  How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

(Salvation here means deliverance from temporary evils.)

Notice that if we don’t acknowledge the presence of angels and get in line with God’s Word, they won’t move to protect us as they should. They have been given an assignment by Almighty God to help us and minister to us – the born-again Christians – heirs of salvation, but we have our part to do. We can either make a way for them to minister to/for us or hinder them from doing their job. So how do we do this?

First of all, know that God used angels many times throughout the Old Testament and in the New Testament to help people. He especially used angels in the life of Jesus. They have been given an assignment to move on the Word that He speaks and on the Word of God that we speak.

Psalm 103:20 (KJV) 20  Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Hearken means to hear intelligently and obey the word that is spoken. So how do they hearken to God’s Word? By listening to the words that we speak that line up with the Word of God. If we confess (speak) God’s Word, then the angels can move to cause those words to come to pass. But if we speak negative words, which are actually the devil’s words, our angels just stand there and do nothing because they cannot override our negative words. They don’t make judgments as to whether or not we mean what we say. If it’s not God’s Word, they don’t move. That’s why it’s so important that we don’t speak words that are contrary to God’s Word. If we do, we bind our angels from helping us.

Exodus 23:20-21 (KJV) 20  Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 21  Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

The Israelites were told not to provoke the angel that the Lord sent before them because he (the angel) wouldn’t override what they said. If they confessed negatively, the angel couldn’t help them. And we know what happened in the wilderness!

Psalm 91:11 (KJV) 11  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

This is a good scripture to confess daily for your protection. Your angels are standing by waiting for their assignment from you. Keep God’s Word in your mouth and let your angels do their job!

Looking Back Only Leads You in the Wrong Direction!

Galatians 4:9 (KJV) 9  But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Remember when you got saved? Everything seemed so bright and hopeful. You were floating on Cloud 9! But, then, reality set in and back to earth. That happens to all of us.

For me, everything really did seem brighter, as if my eyes were opened for the first time. How awesome to know that I was finally on the right team and had answers to every question I could possibly have. I knew that God had the answers even though I might not know them at the time. It was almost like I was in a different world! But then reality set in and back to planet earth.

However, even though the “honeymoon” was over, I was still as much on fire as I ever was and still am today. That’s because when I got saved, it was all or nothing, and I chose all. I made a total commitment and never wavered from that position.

Now, about people who get saved and then when hard times come, they are tempted to turn back to their unsaved ways. This is not good.

Notice in II Pet. 2:20-22 that those who turn back to their old ways are worse off than before. It never pays to go back. Besides, what is it that you’re going back to? Your life was not ideal before you got saved, so what do you think it can offer now? Really!

We all need to remember what we received when we got saved: the wisdom of God, access to all His promises, the faith of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, the Blood of Jesus, the ministering angels who are sent to minister for us, plus much, much more! Why would we ever even want to go back to life without Jesus and all that He bought and paid for in His Redemption?

So, brothers and sisters, when the devil tempts you to turn back to your old way of doing things, stand your ground, submit to God, rebuke the devil in the Name of Jesus, and he will flee! End of story!

We are the blessed of the Lord!

Hebrews 10:38 (KJV) 38  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV) 7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

2 Peter 2:20-22 (KJV) 20  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.22  But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Do You Desire the Manifestation of the Supernatural in Your Life?

Human beings actually crave the supernatural. You can see it in books, movies, and even Disney movies. So, what is the fascination with the supernatural? You would think that we have enough to do handling the natural, every day things with which we are faced. But, that’s not all.

God has put in each of us a desire for Him. It’s a vacuum that needs to be filled but too many times people fill it with the wrong things instead of God. That’s when the devil gets in there and makes a mess of people’s lives.

It’s an abomination to God to dabble in witchcraft and other demonic areas. God has all the supernatural reality that we can handle but sadly, most Christians don’t even know how to operate in God’s supernatural ways and thus, can be easily duped by the devil and his demonic lying wonders.

Let’s go to God’s Word:

2 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV) 3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

When you stand on and receive God’s promises, you actually partake of His divine nature. As you can see in the above scripture, He has already given us all things that pertain to life and godliness but all these things that we want and need are in His Word in spirit form.  We have to draw them out by using our faith. When faith is in operation, the power of God is in operation! How good is that!

When Peter says it’s through the knowledge of Him that we receive the promises, it means through the Word because Jesus and His Word are One. And if we keep standing on His Word, we will shield ourselves from the corruption of the world’s system. His Word has to be our benchmark by which we measure all things.

We are supernatural spirits in a flesh body. We were created to operate in God’s supernatural ways. Let’s yield ourselves to being used by the Holy Spirit in His gifts and show the world that our God reigns!

When is a Name More than a Name?

What’s in a name and do names really matter in the whole scheme of things? Yes, of course names matter. That’s how we identify people, places, and things. But there’s more to this story than meets the ol’ proverbial eye.

Let’s take people’s names. How important are they? First of all, we identify people by their names. But most of all, it’s what stands behind their name. Is the person of good reputation or bad? Is their name synonymous with integrity or malfeasance? When people hear the name, what do they think?

You see, names really do mean something. In fact, in the Old Testament, names were indicative of who you were or what you did. Not so today except that your reputation stands behind your name – good or bad.

So, where am I going with this? Glad you asked. Christianity is all about relationship with God and what Jesus has done to bring us back into that relationship. Now comes the icing on the cake: Jesus has given us His Name and the Power of Attorney to use it to affect all of mankind as we fulfill God’s plans for our lives. But, why is this significant? Because:

1 – God gave Jesus the Name that is above all names – the highest most important name is the universe [Phil. 2:9].

2 – Jesus, in turn, gave us the right to use His Name to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out devils [Matt. 10:8; Mark 16:17-18].

3 – When we get saved, we are baptized into His Name [Matt. 28:19].

4 – We give thanks in His Name [Eph. 5:20].

5 – We’re washed, sanctified, and justified in His Name [I Cor. 6:11[.

6 – We do all things in His Name [Col 3:17].

7 – We anoint the sick in His Name [James 5:14].

8 – We love one another in His Name [I John 3:23].

9 – There’s no other Name by which we can be saved [Acts 4:12].

10 – We pray to the Father in Jesus’ Name [John 14:13-14; 16:24].

A name is only important as what backs it up. For example, when we send an ambassador to another country, the USA stands behind him. And – we are ambassadors for Jesus Christ, representing all that He is [II Cor. 5:20]. Praise the Lord!

Now get this, all of Heaven stands behind Jesus and His name and when we use His Name because we have Power of Attorney, all of heaven stands behind it just as if it were Jesus speaking and doing! Shout hallelujah and Praise the Lord of Glory!

In the Name of Jesus, we can heal this sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons, and see miracles right before our eyes!

Remember, the goodness of God leads people to repentance! Go and show forth the goodness of our God in Jesus’ Name!

2025 – A New Beginning!

So, we begin a new year – a year of new beginnings! It’s like having a blank canvas right before our eyes and we’re the artists who will paint something beautiful.

The beginning of anything usually seems fresh and exciting but what happens when we get settled in and revert back to our old ways – the ones we endeavored to change by making New Year’s resolutions?

Many of us will make resolutions, hoping to keep them. But is that what it’s all about? What should we be doing at the beginning of this New Year? So much had happened in 2024 – for the good! Let’s look toward to 2025 for even better! And in the USA, we have a new administration coming in, which should bless all those who have believed for it!

And so, this is a time to reflect on all the blessings of the Lord and how He faithfully kept us in trying times and in the good times. And if you feel short-changed in the blessing department, know that the blessings are always out there – more than you can think, know, or imagine. But – they’re only accessed by faith. God isn’t stingy. He has more blessings for you than you can ever use on planet earth. And if that doesn’t light your fire, as they say, your wood is wet!

Let’s look at some appropriate new beginning scriptures that I hope will be an encouragement to you.

Colossians 3:17 (KJV) 17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

If we abide by this scripture by doing everything we do in the name of the Lord Jesus, it would virtually, do away with New Year’s resolutions because we would be doing what pleases the Lord and that’s what we ultimately want.

I recall an incident that Keith Moore related about a man who wanted to quit smoking. Brother Keith gave him this scripture and told him to confess it every time he lit up a cigarette. Well, fast forward and in about two weeks, the man had lost all desire to smoke and was completely delivered! Praise the Lord!

Colossians 3:23 (KJV) 23  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Here’s another scripture that will help you in all you do, whether at work, home, or out and about. Yes, there are any number of tasks, requirements, obligations, etc. that we deal with, some pleasant and some not so pleasant. But, if we do everything as unto the Lord, not unto those around us, it would make a huge difference in our attitude and ultimately affect us for good. And that’s what we should want, right?

Be yourself and let God change you into what He has for you.

2 Corinthians 10:12b (AMP) 12  However, when they measure themselves with themselves and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding and behave unwisely.

Let’s be all that God has for us to be and fulfill His plans for us. There’s no better or satisfying place to be than right smack in the middle of God’s will.

Happy New Year and may the blessings of the Lord chase you down and overtake you!

’Til next time — Pamela

You are a Treasure!

2 Corinthians 4:7 (KJV) 7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Malachi 3:17 (AMP) 17  And they shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I publicly recognize and openly declare them to be My jewels (My special possession, My peculiar treasure). And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.

How many of you actually feel like you’re God’s special treasure? Too many times we see ourselves only in the natural realm instead of in the spiritual realm as God sees us. We see our faults. God sees us through the Blood of Jesus, cleansed and made whole. How awesome is that!

So, just what is this treasure we have in our earthen vessels? It’s the Holy Spirit representing our Lord Jesus and empowering us to do the works that He did. Wow – this is almost too good even as I write it!

Romans 8:11 (KJV) 11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Colossians 2:9-10 (KJV) 9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

We have the same Spirit in us that raised Jesus from the dead! It’s almost too good to grasp but it’s true nonetheless. We truly are powerhouses for God! So, why don’t we see the power of God manifested more?

John 4:24 (KJV) 24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

As you know, there are two realms in existence: the physical realm – which we contact with our five physical senses, and the spirit realm, where God exists. And because God is a spirit, we have to contact Him – spirit to Spirit.

Getting back to the treasure we have in us, it’s in the spirit realm, in our reborn spirit. And since it’s in the spirit realm, we have to draw it out with our faith. Don’t let this be confusing to you. I’ve been teaching this all along in my blogs. Everything works by faith.

Whatever you need is already in your reborn spirit. God has already provided everything you’ll ever need on planet earth to be victorious and successful. But – your part is to reach out and receive it by faith.

Faith is the bridge from the spirit realm to the physical realm. When you “see” it in the spirit realm by faith and receive it by faith, then it manifests in your physical realm. This works for healing, deliverance, provision, protection and anything else you need. (Remember, this is a blog, not an in-depth teaching.)

We have to make a total commitment that the Word of God is true, no matter what anyone else says. Because – if you edit the Bible by picking and choosing what you will or will not believe, you’ll never come into the fullness of what God has for you.

Let’s be a people who believe God’s Word and see it in manifestation in our lives and thereby help others to experience the goodness of God  and be drawn to Him.

Romans 2:4b (KJV)  … knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

How Close is the End?

If you want to know how close we are to the end, just look around you and you’ll see that time is short for the return of Jesus. It’s what Charles Capps calls the “triangle of the end.”

These are perilous time as we see in II Tim. 3:1-5:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV) 1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

This is not a time to compromise. We have to stop straddling the fence and get serious because time is short and there’s a great work yet to be done. There was a time when we could be outside of God’s perfect will and still be protected but that time is over. We have to “fish or cut bait” as they say. We have to take our stand and stand for what we truly believe – no compromising! To be spiritually right has nothing to do with being politically correct!

In Rev. 2:6, we see Jesus is addressing the church at Ephesus:

Revelation 2:6 (KJV) 6  But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Jesus says He hates the deed of the Nicolaitans, referring to those who have compromised what they believed. This is totally unacceptable to the Lord.

Looking at James 1:6-8 we see that wavering/compromising gets us nothing because it cancels our faith. This is a very serious thing and we need to take heed.

James 1:6-8 (KJV) 6  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

And, just in case you haven’t noticed, things are really speeding up in the world. Technology is growing by leaps and bounds – even computers are “old” at 6 months! And Christmas seems to arrive earlier each year!

The point I’m making is that it’s time to get serious and get on with the plans that God has for you. No more slacking or hesitating! Let’s stop playing church and be the Church that God has ordained us to be. Let’s do the works of Jesus as He said believers would do – heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons! That will get people’s attention and then we can tell them about our wonderful Lord Jesus!

Jesus is coming back for a Church without spot or wrinkle – no compromise. We are not a defeated Church; we’re the victorious Church of the Lord Jesus Christ! Let’s be all that God has for us to be and show the world that Jesus is Lord!

Ephesians 5:27 (KJV) 27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
