Why all the Emphasis on God’s Word?

As you have noticed, I use many scriptures each time I write a blog. This is not to fill up space. I have plenty of good reasons why I do this but the first and foremost one is because it is God’s Word—His incorruptible Word.

You see, if you’re ever going to walk in the victory that God has provided in His Word, you’re going to have to develop a truly sincere love of His Word. In fact, the Word of God has to become the benchmark for all that you do. How many times have I said that!

Yes, there are those who ignore God’s Word and things seem to go right for them but that’s not all there is. That’s not the end of the program.

This life is a mere droplet in the sea of eternity. We’re only here for a short time and if that’s all you focus on, you’re short-changing yourself by a million miles.

God’s Word has the answer for everything you’ll ever face in this life, but, and I mean but, you have your part to do. God has already done His part by speaking forth His promises and you know He can’t lie because every Word He speaks comes to pass and will continue to do so throughout all eternity. Praise the Lord for His goodness to us! What more could we want when He’s given us everything we’ll ever need!

Of course, there are those who say, “I don’t see His promises manifesting in my life.” That may be so, but it doesn’t negate the Word. God’s Word is true in spite of people’s experiences. Never base your belief in God according to someone’s experience. That’s very bad and will get you nowhere fast.

God’s Word is the Truth that will set you free as you continue in it. You must plant it in the good soil of your heart, water it, and continue in it, if you want the results that God has promised.

In the parable of the sower, the only ground that produced was the one that, when the seed was planted, was watered and cared for. The other types of soil didn’t produce. Let’s all be good ground for the Word of God to grow in, develop, and produce 30, 60, and 100fold results.

1 Peter 1:23 (KJV)
23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

John 8:31-32 (KJV)
31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Mark 4:1-20
