The main reason why it’s God’s will for everyone to be healed is because He has already provided it for us! And you don’t provide something that you don’t want people to have! That sounds like a no-brainer but many people, including Christians, are hard to convince.
Philippians 4:19 (KJV) 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Is healing a need? Of course it is, if you’re sick. But just because God has supplied it, doesn’t mean you automatically get it because each person must do the receiving for themselves.
It’s like salvation. Even though God has already provided salvation for every human being, it’s not automatic. Salvation must be received individually.
Here are a few scriptures to show that everyone who came to Jesus for healing got healed.
Matthew 8:16 (KJV) 16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
Matthew 12:15 (KJV) 15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
Matthew 12:22 (KJV) 22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
Luke 6:17-19 (KJV) 17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
And then there were the disciples:
Matthew 10:1,8(KJV) 1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Then Jesus tells us to do the same things He did:
John 14:12-14 (KJV) 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
We are to do the same works Jesus did. And notice John 14:14 that if we ask anything in Jesus’ Name, He will do it! Wow!
Here we see that ask means demand. We’re not demanding of God. We’re standing on our covenant rights and demanding that the devil ceases and desists in the Name of Jesus. We’re to take our authority and walk in the dominion God has ordained for us and be the overcomers we’re to be!
Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Don’t take the path of least resistance that leads to failure. Yes it takes effort to stand and keep standing on God’s Word but it’s all so worth it!
The devil doesn’t give up easily but if we keep standing and resisting, he has to flee. We have the upper hand because we have God’s Word. The devil only has lies, deceit, and pretended wonders. If we don’t give him an opening, he can’t win.
1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
