Are You Just a Pawn in the Chess Game of Life? [The Believer’s Authority – Part I]

Are you just a pawn in the Chess Game of Life or do you have God-given dominion over your circumstances? If you’ve been reading my blogs, you know what I have to say about that: Yes we do have dominion over the circumstances that confront us and we’re not just pawns in the hands of the satan! We have a Covenant with Almighty God, the Creator of Heaven and earth and on that we can stand. But, if you don’t know your covenant rights, the devil can dupe you  and lead you down a path that was never meant for God’s children.

So, what does all this mean and why should we care? Very simply – II Tim. 3:1 :

2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV) 1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

These are definitely perilous times and perilous means very, very dangerous and even life-threatening. Just look around you! The Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul was right on in warning us 2000 years ago and we’re seeing it transpiring right before our eyes. [Read II Tim. 3:2-5 for details.]

Who would have thought that schools would close, businesses would shut down, people would be quarantined at home, and the economy would be on the verge of collapse? This would have been laughable a few years ago and even a few months ago.

In the beginning of 2020 the USA was better economically than it’s ever been and people were prospering. But all this changed suddenly due to an uncircumcised Philistine called Covid 19!

So, what did people do? They feared the invisible enemy – the virus! And we know what fear does; it paralyzes you and causes confusion and deception to reign and unleashes control freaks!

Now I can understand this happening to the hypocrites and unsaved but what about God’s Covenant people? How did they respond? Unfortunately, much the same way as the unbelievers. That’s not acceptable! Let’s take a look at what God has given us to be overcomers.

1 John 5:4 (KJV) 4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

This verse tells us that our faith overcomes the world. But what is it about faith that overcomes? It’s our belief in God’s Word! You can’t have faith in God outside of His Word because that’s where faith is – in His Word.

Let’s go back to the beginning where God gave man dominion.

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Here we see that God commands us to take dominion over the earth! That surely covers what’s going on all around us. And even though Adam sold out to satan, Jesus bought it all back for us!

How can we let an invisible enemy or any enemy ruin our lives and end up controlling everything we do? Simply because people believe the devil’s lies more than God’s power through us to take authority over it. We’re not orphans. We have a heavenly Father who loves us and has provided everything we’ll ever need to be successful and victorious on planet earth. We need to stand on that authority and see victory in our lives. [To be continued.]

Matthew 10:1 (KJV) 1  And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) 17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Luke 10:19 (KJV) 19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Fear – What’s the Big Deal?

So what’s the big deal about fear? Isn’t a little fear a good thing? Absolutely not! If you want active, operative, power-packed faith working in your life, you must resist fear and get it out of your life!

Let’s define fear: it’s the opposite of faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and desired. Fear is the substance of things that are not hoped for or desired. Everything that faith is, fear is not! If you allow fear in your life, you cancel out your faith. It’s like two horses pulling an object in opposite directions. They’ll get nowhere. It’s called “spinning your wheels” or the “rocking chair” syndrome. You’re moving but getting nowhere.

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) 7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
1 John 4:18 (KJV) 18  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Fear doesn’t come from God because there’s no fear in Him. Fear comes from the enemy whose main mission is to steal, kill, and destroy us but he can’t if we keep the door shut!

John 10:10 (KJV) 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Remember Job? The thing he greatly feared came on him. Fear will draw to you the very thing you’re fearing. Fear is an attribute of the devil and if he can get you to fear, he will get an inroad to you and negate your faith. If fear comes against you, stand your ground and don’t let it get into your heart.

Job 1:1 (KJV) 1  There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Job 3:25 (KJV) 25  For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
Our faith is what overcomes the world but if the devil can stop your faith by using fear, you’re weaponless against him. Brothers and sisters, this is serious, especially in light of the days we’re living in. There’s so much opportunity to fear – almost at every turn. That’s why we have to stay plugged into God’s Word so we can use it to ward off the enemy.

Jesus told us what to do:

1 John 5:4 (KJV) 4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
John 14:1 (KJV) 1  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
John 14:27 (KJV) 27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Luke 12:32 (KJV) 32  Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Jesus commanded us to “not fear”. This is a command not a holy suggestion! HE knew exactly how devastating and paralyzing fear can be and that’s why He made these statements. He would never command us to do something we’re incapable of doing!

These are exciting times because we’re on the brink of the biggest outpouring of the Holy Spirit and His gifts that we’ve ever seen. And this is going to take place before Jesus returns! Are you ready and prepared to be part of it?

1 John 4:4b (KJV)  … because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
James 1:6-8 (KJV) 6  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Amos 3:3 (KJV) 3  Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Romans 8:15 (KJV) 15  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Hebrews 2:15 (KJV) 15  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) 1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

So, What have We Learned?

As we get on the other side of the whole Covid 19 pandemic, what have we learned throughout this whole thing? Let me pose a few questions:

Have we learned that we can trust God or have we found that our trust in Him is sorely lacking?

Have we learned that our faith will get us through anything or have we found that we are not the “faith giants” we thought we were?

Have we learned that God’s Word is the final authority or have we learned that we really don’t know as much of God’s Word as we ought to know?

Have we realized that fear cancels out faith and actually paralyzes us, causing us to “blindly” follow whatever the world says or have we learned that fear doesn’t come from God and our faith will overcome the world?

And have we witnessed firsthand people calling good evil and evil good?

Have we learned who can be trusted and who can’t?

All in all, I think we’ve all learned some things we didn’t expect to learn and hopefully our eyes have been opened to the truth.

As you have noticed, a crisis brings out the good and the bad. Yes, mistakes have been made but lives have been saved. For that we are to be thankful. But it’s not over. I believe we will be cleaning up for quite a while. But for those whose trust is in the Lord, Who made Heaven and earth, we can expect to have a rapid recovery and reclaim all that was lost.

God hasn’t put His miracles on hold and He’s still answering faith-filled prayers! This is a time for reflection and we need to be about our Father’s business. Let’s commit to a stronger walk than ever before so that we can be an inspiration to those around us and fulfill all that God has called us to do!

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) 7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Hebrews 13:5b (KJV)  … for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV) 8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 5  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Numbers 23:19 (KJV) 19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Isaiah 5:20 (KJV) 20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 40:28-31 (KJV) 28  Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29  He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

— Pamela

Does God Talk to You?

That’s a fair question but how many people can answer yes to it?

John 10:27 (KJV) 27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice so that means He’s talking to us.  Why, then, do Christians say they don’t hear Him?

I believe God by the Holy Spirit is constantly speaking to us, Spirit to spirit, but we don’t always hear because we’re so distracted by what’s going on around us. We’re cluttered with the things of this world and they’re screaming so loudly that it drowns out the “still small voice” of the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever done something and it didn’t turn out the way you expected and then you thought I had a feeling that I shouldn’t do that? If you retrace your steps you’ll find that the Lord was speaking to you before you made that move.

The still small voice of the Holy Spirit is just that – still and small. You have to be tuned in to really hear what He’s saying. And that’s not where most people are – tuned in!

We live in perilous times as you can witness on every level. It behooves us to have an inside tract to what is going on and the only way to do that is to be tuned in to the Holy Spirit and what He’s saying. God’s Word is our guide and the Holy Spirit will never speak contrary to it.

As you know, the things of the world can really usurp our attention and get us focused on the wrong things instead of what God is saying. We have to get the Word inside us and continue to stand on it at every trun. Only then will we see the desired results we want. God has always made a way for us, in spite of what’ going on in the world, But, unfortunately, many Christians have just ignored His leading in favor of the worldly view.

Jesus cautions us to steer clear of the cares for this world so we won’t’ be caught off-guard in any situation.

Luke 21:34 (AMP) 34  But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose;

We have a job to do before Jesus returns and we need to be doing it. We have not yet seen the Last and Final Move of the Holy Spirit but I believe all signs indicate that it’s imminent. Praise the Lord of Glory! Are you ready?

Pamela

Take the Plunge!

It’s time to take the plunge and jump in! The time for dipping your toes is over and we must get down to the business of the Lord!

Have you ever wondered why we aren’t seeing the sign, wonders, and miracles of the Early Apostolic Church? Why aren’t we seeing John 14:12 in manifestation? Surely God’s power hasn’t diminished so why the lack of manifestation?

John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

As I look around and observe the present day Christian Church, I am appalled at what I see, or rather, what I don’t see. It seems that many churches, if not most, have been baptized in unbelief! All you have to do is make a a statement that it’s always God’s will to heal and you’ll find that unbelief is running rampant in the Church at large! This is unacceptable.

The reason I’m addressing this issue is because I believe we’re on the brink of a major Holy Spirit outbreak – a revival of renown or a Great Awakening, as some are calling it.

As we look around at the current crisis that’s taking place in the world (spring 2020) we see that the devil is wreaking havoc to such a degree that it makes me wonder just what’s really going on.

I believe this whole Covid 19 ordeal is a major distraction sent by the devil to distract the Church from what’s about to happen – a Great End-time move of God!

One week before Smith Wigglesworth went home (1947), he prophesied that the first move of the Spirit would bring a resurgence of the gifts of the Spirit. Then a second move would be a revival of the teaching of the Word of God. He then said, when these two moves combine, we’d see the greatest move the Church has ever seen. I believe this is about to happen because we’ve already seen the first two moves back in the late 60s, 70s and upwards.  But the last move is still in the wings.

So what’s our part? We need to dig in and get ready because when the next move occurs, many will be healed, delivered, set free, and come into the Kingdom of God. I’m hoping those who are backslidden or straddling the fence will also get right with the Lord. Oh, what a glorious time this will be!

And I want to be right in the middle of it! What about you?

Joel 2:28-29 (KJV) 28  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29  And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. Joel 2:23-25 (KJV) 23  Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24  And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25  And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

Do I Really Need to Watch Every Word that I Speak?

Matthew 12:37 (KJV) 37  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:37 (AMP) 37  For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.

We’ve all done it: open mouth, insert foot! And felt stupid when we did! That’s exactly what the devil wants you to do – speak before you think and make a fool of yourself! And as you know, there’s a lot of that going around these days. However, God has plenty to say about this very thing that will help you.

Matthew 12:34 (KJV)
34  O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Proverbs 23:7a (KJV) 7  For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

So why are words of such importance that the Lord said we are justified or condemned by our words? We are a word-oriented society. Everything we do, we do with words. We make agreements, hand down sentences, teach and instruct, and even praise the Lord, all with words.

Where do our words come from? They come from our thoughts. We think on things and then we express those thoughts with words. And that’s not all. Those words are then expressed in actions. So, we see that our thoughts become words, and our words become our actions.

Mark 11:23 (KJV) 23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Notice in Mark 11:23 that we can have what we say if we doubt no in our heart, but believe that what we say will come to pass, we’ll have what we say. Now, most people would rejoice at this but let me tell you, it works the same way in the negative realm. What? You say, “I don’t want negative things to happen to me!” Of course not but it’s a principle in God’s Word and it will happen. And it will happen sometimes much faster in the negative than in the positive. Let me explain.

Remember, you have to speak your desire, doubt not in your heart, and believe that what you say will come to pass. So, why can you speak good confessions over yourself and it seems forever to come to pass but if you slip up and speak negatively, it seems to come to pass almost immediately? That’s because you’re more highly developed in the negative than in the positive. You’ve had more “practice” speaking negative things than positive things and it seems easier to believe negative things.

Just look around you and you’ll see what I mean. We are inundated daily with negative news, negative thoughts, fear, and anxiety and then we wonder why we feel so lousy! Really!

What’s in your heart will eventually come out of your mouth because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks – Matt. 12:34. That’s why it behooves us to watch every word we speak and put a guard over our mouths until we learn to control what comes out. If we truly believed that what we speak will come to pass, we’d really pay close attention to our words. Don’t fill your heart with negativity and then wonder why things don’t go right for you. Fill it with the Word of God so that in every situation, God’s Word is the first thing that comes out of your mouth.

Remember, Jesus is the One Who made these statements and He can be trusted to know what He’s doing. If you want to live a life of peace and joy, you’ll have to commit to watching the Words you speak. And there’s no greater joy than doing everything God’s way and living a life worth living!

If You Don’t Stand for Something, You’ll Fall for Anything!

If there ever was a time in the history of our country where it’s become apparent that our civil rights are being horrendously attacked, it’s now! As Americans we’ve fought long and hard to make gains in personal protection and civil rights. But, as you know, much of what we’ve stood for in the past is being viciously attacked be those who want to destroy our constitution as well as Christianity. This cannot be allowed to happen. And here is where the plot thickens.

As Christians, we have to know what we believe and firmly commit to those principles and standards. We can’t be like the wind, tossed to and fro by all that’s going on in the world today. We must stand on God’s Word not matter what we see happening.

And here is where the problem lies: many, if not most, Christians don’t really know God’s Word enough to stand on it. Nor do they treat it as the “benchmark” for all that they do. Too many are inundated with the ways of the world and in times of crisis, that’s where they turn.

Our beliefs are under attack and we can’t just lay down and die – giving in to the devil’s influences that so readily try to permeate every area of our lives.

My question to you, my dear brothers and sisters, is: what do you truly believe and why do you believe it? When you answer those questions, you’ll know where your heart is and be willing to stand up and fight for what you believe. There’s a reason it’s called “the good fight of faith”!

We are the people of God and He has so equipped us to be victorious in the last days. Let’s be the glorious Church of the Lord Jesus Christ so that the world will see that Jesus is Lord!

1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV) 12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

2 Timothy 1:12 (KJV) 12  For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Proverbs 16:3 (KJV) 3  Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
1 Peter 1:5 (KJV) 5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Jeremiah 10:23 (KJV) 23  O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Hebrews 9:28 (KJV) 28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 5  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Dead Men Don’t have a Testimony!

Psalm 118:17 (KJV) 17  I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

Yes, it’s true that dead men don’t have a testimony for the very fact that they’re dead! We all know this but . . . did you know that there are walking dead men all around you? What? How can this be?

It’s all very simple – sad but simple. Unless you’re born-again, you are a walking dead man/woman! You’re part of the walking dead, separate from the life of God which has the power to put you over and cause victory in your life – a life worth living!

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) 19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Here we see that God gives us a choice: to choose lie or death, blessing or cursing. Then He tells us which to choose – choose life!

If anybody knows the right thing to do every time, it’s Almighty God. He’s the One Who’s provided everything we’ll ever need on planet earth. He made a way for us even before we needed a “way”. His integrity has stood the test of time, as if He ever needed a test in the first place!

This brings me to the current crisis the whole world is facing (spring 2020). 184 countries are fighting a virus called Covid 19 – a coronavirus, of which there are many. So what’s my beef? Well, here it is.

Most of the world (and particularly the USA where I live) is trying to fight this virus by purely natural means – therapeutics and eventually a vaccine. And as we see, the results are not great and people are complaining about all the restrictions:  lockdown, stay-at- home-, masks, social distancing, etc.

That being said, you would think they’d realize that their “man ideas” are not great and that there has to be a better solution. They’re right – there is a better solution and one that works and has definitely stood the test of time – God’s Word and His ways!

Has anyone ever considered that this whole crisis was no surprise to God? Or that He has already (as usual) provided the solution before there was a crisis?

So what’s the problem? Simply this: they want God’s solution but they don’t want God! They want the benefits of walking by faith but they don’t actually want to walk by faith in God’s word and His ways. Now that’s deception gone to seed. The very One Who has all the answers is the One they’re rejecting because they want to do it “their” way! How ignorant is that!

Sad to say, many Christians don’t even acknowledge that we have authority from God to crush any deadly thing that comes against us. I’d even challenge you, dear reader, to find people in your realm of influence who actually believe God’s Word enough to use their God-given authority to resist this virus and the fear that’s been perpetrated against us. As I’ve said many times, fear draws to you the very thing you don’t want!

Brothers and sisters, we have to rise up and take our place as the army of God and purpose in our hearts to fulfil the plans God has for us. We are winners and overcomers in the name of Jesus!

Mark 16:18 (KJV) 18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) 8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

James 4:6-7 (KJV) 6  But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Proverbs 16:9 (KJV) 9  A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Jeremiah 10:23 (KJV) 23  O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Praise – a Key to the Power!

Psalm 8:2 (KJV) 2  Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

Matthew 21:16 (KJV) 16  And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
2 Chronicles 20:22 (KJV) 22  And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

With all that is going on in the world today, it seems that people are more focused on begging and pleading with God to stop the virus than they are about seeking His face. But is there a part that we’re missing?

Of course, God is not the One Who is to blame for the current crisis. We know that but somehow or other, we think that we can just shoot up a prayer of desperation and hope that God will somehow fix everything.

But, that’s not the way it works. Everything God does is ordered by faith. Scared prayers don’t work or get results. We need to take our authority over the enemy and subdue him. And that’s where praise comes in.

We can’t wait ’til everything is back to normal and then start praising God for the victorious outcome. We have to praise Him in spite of what’s going on, even in the middle of the whole pandemic. He is still God and this crisis didn’t catch Him off guard. We’re the ones that were caught off guard.

God has always provided for His people to be protected and be victorious overcomers. Sadly, many people have turned to the world for solutions to their problems and those solutions, if they have any, don’t always work. We have to get back to trusting God and His Word to see us through. And praise is a big factor.

Notice in the opening scriptures that praise and strength are the same word – one is OT and the other is NT. Praise stills the enemy. To still means to stop, shut down, to squash, and to squelch. That’s what we want to do to the Covid 19 virus. We want to shut it down – annihilate it, never to return again. So how do we do it?

Looking at II Chron. 20:22, we see that the praisers went out before the army of Judah and praised the Lord openly. The Lord intervened and the enemy turned on themselves and they were defeated. What a lesson to learn! We can still the enemy by taking our authority over the virus and praising the Lord of Glory for His goodness to us. He has and always will be faithful and His Word always works.

The ball is in our court. God has already done His part by giving us all the necessary tools to combat the enemy. It’s now time for us to get serious and do our part. We will win and we will be decidedly victorious, not just limping to victory!

So rise up my brothers and sisters, take your place and praise the Lord of Glory for His goodness to us. Jesus is Lord and we are His people and a Holy Ghost revival is coming!

Fear Paralyzes; Faith Accesses God’s Power!

Deuteronomy 28:1 (KJV) 1  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Fear paralyzes; faith gives access to God’s power! With all that is going on in the world today regarding the coronavirus-Covid 19, it behooves us to take a look at what God has to say about all this. Is He really protecting us or should we all just cower and hide? Just how protected are we?

Well, I’m glad you asked because it’s important to know just where we stand regarding the promises of God. Can we really depend on God in times of crisis or do we have to get on His waiting list?

I know these seem like silly questions but I think many people ask them and really don’t know the answer. As I have said many times, you can’t just shoot up a prayer hoping it sticks and then wonder why it didn’t work. There’s more to it than that. Read on.

Notice in the opening scripture that verse 1 is the first of 14 verses of blessings that God had for His people but there is a catch. We have to pay attention and do what He has said. Then the blessings come on us. But if we don’t, then we open ourselves to the curses which are listed in verses 15-61.

As I have said many times, there’s a God-part and a man-part. God has already done His part and now it’s up to us to do our part to access His promises.

We all love Ps. 91 but I want you to notice something in verse 1:

Psalm 91:1 (KJV) 1  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

God is specifically addressing those who dwell in “the secret place of the Most High”, namely God. Those who have made Jesus their Lord and Savior, walking in His ways, and dwelling in Him are the ones that are protected. It’s not the unsaved because they haven’t made the Lord their habitation or dwelling place.

Having said all that, let’s talk about our protection.

Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) 17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Here we see that no weapon can prosper against us if we abide in the Lord. We have to rebuke every evil report that comes against us to discourage us and cause fear to overtake us. Just because someone says something evil doesn’t mean we have to receive the evil report. God’s report is what counts.

Romans 8:11 (KJV) 11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Here we see that the Holy Spirit in us quickens us – makes us alive. That means we’re not dead!

Galatians 3:13 (KJV) 13  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

The fact that we have been redeemed from the curse of the law is covered in Deut. 28:15-61. Every sickness, disease, virus, etc. is under the curse of the law and we have been delivered for it. It has no right to attach itself to our bodies. This is where the man-part comes into play. We are the ones who have to stand against the evil ways of the devil. We have to use our authority and rebuke it and stand on Ps. 91 and the other scriptures and not waver. And that, dear brothers and sisters, takes faith.

Faith is the access door to all the promises of God. Just because God has said it and promised it in his Word, doesn’t meant the promises are going to fall on us like ripe cherries off the tree. We have our part and we are the ones who have to take hold of the promises with our faith.

Like it or not, that’s the way it works because that’s the way God has set it up to work He’s a faith God and that’s how He operates. We are made in His image and that’s how He intended for us to operate. If we do things God’s way, then we’ll get God’s results. And that’s what we want.

We are the ones who have been given dominion over the power of the devil and we are the ones who have to resist him. God has given us all the tools we need: the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, the angels, the whole armor of God, etc. We are equipped but we have to use it. We have to take our stand and not waver but stand firm and see God’s deliverance. We are overcomers and we are victorious.

I believe that a great revival of the Word is about to break forth after this whole crisis is over and we will see multitudes of people turn to the Lord and take their rightful place. Praise the Lord of Glory!

Mark 16:18 (KJV) 18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Psalm 112:4 (KJV) 4  Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
Matthew 10:26 (KJV) 26  Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
Deuteronomy 28:15-61 (KJV)

Deuteronomy 28:1 (KJV) 1  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Psalm 91

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV) 4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
