Are You Standing Firm or Looking for a Way Out?

Someone once said that you should never have an escape plan—no quitting! Yes, God does provide a way of escape for us when the enemy attacks but that’s not what I’m talking about here.

When we’re going through some things—issues/problems of life—we need to stand firm on God’s Word in faith. Quitting should not be an option. Quitters never win and winners never quit!

One sure way to fail is to quit standing on God’s Word. Remember, God’s Word works and has never failed. Of course, some have failed to work the Word, but the Word didn’t fail.

Our society, as a whole, quits when the going gets tough. But, as Christians, we’re supposed to trust in the Living God and His Word to put us over. Proverbs says that if we faint in the day of adversity, our strength is small. But, we’re not going to faint. We’re going to pull ourselves up and stand firm on God’s Word, doing what He says: draw near to Him, resist the devil and he will flee.

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. God is well able to get you through and deliver you. He always cause us to triumph in Jesus!

1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) 13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Kings 8:56 (KJV) 56  Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
Proverbs 24:10 (KJV) 10  If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Ephesians 6:10 (KJV) 10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
2 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) 14  Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
