Divine Healing – God’s Gift to You! [Part I]

I’m going to change my “blog” method a bit and start a series on healing. With all that’s going on in the world today, I believe this is a pertinent topic and one we all need.

So, why should we pursue divine healing when we have the medical profession at our finger tips? Two reasons:

1 – The medical profession doesn’t have all the answers.

2 – Divine healing is a gift from God to us and for that very reason we should pursue it. What God has given, we should want!

If you listen to the average person, they’ll have all kinds of ideas about healing – even Christians: God doesn’t heal anymore, it passed away with the apostles; God is trying to teach you something with your sickness; sometimes God heals and sometimes He doesn’t –you never know what God will do! These are all lies!

1 – Healing did not pass away with the apostles.

2 – God doesn’t use sickness to teach you. People really don’t believe this or they wouldn’t go to a doctor to get better.

3 – And yes, you always know what God will do. He will always do His Word!

So, let’s begin with rightly dividing the Word of God. If we can rightly divide it, we can wrongly divide it. And that leads to destruction.

As usual, I will be using lots of scriptures.

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) 5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)
13  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Deuteronomy 28:1-14 (KJV)
a2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) 15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP) 15  Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.

Psalm 119:89 (KJV) 89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Psalm 89:34 (KJV) 34  My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Malachi 3:6a (KJV) 6  For I am the LORD, I change not;
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Numbers 23:19 (KJV) 19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
