God’s plan from the beginning was for mankind to have dominion over the earth and that includes sickness and disease. Even under the Old Covenant, God provided healing for His people.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Exodus 15:26 (KJV) 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
[Author’s note] God didn’t put diseases on them. He wouldn’t allow the diseases to be put on them. It’s the permissive tense because the Hebrew language didn’t have permissive – just causative.]
Deut. 28:1-14; Ps. 91
Isaiah foresaw God’s plan for healing them in Jesus – Isa.53:5-6 and then in the New Covenant we see the provision fulfilled when Jesus went to the Cross – I Peter 2:24.
We’ve been redeemed from the curse of the Law – Gal. 3:13-14 and the blessing of Abraham are is ours – Deut. 28:1-14.
Just reading these scriptures we can see that sickness and disease is not of God. Therefore, we should abhor it!
Now, since God has made the provision for your healing, that shows it’s His will but in order for you to partake of it, you must make a quality decision to believe it’s His will. You can’t waffle or waver on this count or you’ll negate all your prayers and end up with no desired results.
You don’t have to know everything about healing before you make a decision to believe it. God, Who made you and the universe, can certainly heal and fix your body. He’s Almighty God!
Ask yourself: What do I really believe at this point in time and what do I really want to believe!
Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Psalm 89:34 (KJV) 34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Malachi 3:6a (KJV) 6 For I am the LORD, I change not;
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Numbers 23:19 (KJV) 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
