Luke 5:15 (KJV) 15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
Luke 6:17 (KJV) 17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
One of the things I’ve learned about praying for healing for others, is that it’s not only prayer they need, but teaching. They need to hear what God says about healing so their faith can be energized to be able to receive God’s healing. How can you believe for God to heal you without knowing what He has to say about it? You can’t.
So, simply stated, this is what you must do:
1 – Hear & listen to the Word.
2 – Receive the Word into your heart.
3 – Do the Word and receive your healing.
Remember the woman with the issue of blood. She heard of Jesus and what He did for others. She believed what she heard and pursued after Him, reached out and took her healing! She acted in accordance with what she believed and received the desired results.
You can’t talk sickness, disease, and evil reports and expect to be healed. It doesn’t work that way.
Acts 28:26-27 (KJV) 26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Notice that they closed their own eyes. Even though they heard the Word of God, they closed their hearts to the truth and chose to believe a lie. That’s what happens to people who choose to believe the doctor’s report and the naysayers rather than the Word of God and His healing promises. And each time they choose not to believe, they harden their hearts a little more, ’til they are so dull of hearing that they can’t receive God’s truth and be healed. [Note: If your faith is not developed enough to receive your healing, go to the doctor but keep confessing God’s Word until it gets in you in abundance.]
Remember, if you don’t do what you can do, you’ll never do what you can’t do. Your part is to study, confess, and get the Word into your heart where it can develop and manifest in your healing. When you speak the Word over and over, you begin to believe it. You don’t really believe it the first few times you confess it – maybe not even the first 50 times! This is believing with your head – mental assent, not heart believing.
But as you continue confessing the Word, it eventually gets down into your heart where you really believe and then it comes out with power and manifestation!
This doesn’t happen overnight, but it will happen if you’ll stick with it and not quit. Standing on God’s Word takes effort – lots of effort – but it’s worth it. Anything of value will take effort. God is always faithful to do His part and answer every prayer that’s prayed in faith according to His Word. Our part is to keep Akeeping on and not quit.
Galatians 6:9 (KJV) 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
You are the variable, the devil is not really the problem because you can bind him and he has to flee. The variable is you. Are you willing to do your part? If so, the results are inevitable. Go for it and get your healing!
1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
James 4:7 (KJV) 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Matthew 18:18 (KJV) 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Proverbs 4:20-23 (KJV) 20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
