Using Your Spiritual Authority – [Spiritual Authority – Part VII]

It’s not enough to just know that you have spiritual authority in this world, you need to know how to use it. Let’s review what we have taught so far.

We have the Word of God, the Name of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit. We also know that we are the ones who must exercise our authority and resist the devil and he will flee. We also have all the promises of God to undergird us and the armor of God to further equip us.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Ephesians 6:11 (KJV) 11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

So, how do we use these weapons God has given us? Simply by doing what He has told us to do.

John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Mark 11:23-24 (KJV) 23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Too many times Christians pray and don’t expect results. I know that sounds counterproductive but I’ve seen it happen many times. They pray because they know that’s what they’re to do, but never expect to get results. That shouldn’t be. They should get into the Word and build their faith so that they can believe His Word and get their desired results.

Jesus told us to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons. And, just how are we to do that? By using our spiritual authority and the name of Jesus! We need to speak to the mountains in our lives and command them to go. All of God’s promises are voice activated. We can’t just hope everything will work out. We need to SPEAK to the circumstances in Jesus’ name and command them to line up with the Word of God.

And another thing: we have authority over the weather! I think I just lost some of you right here but it’s true nonetheless. We can command the weather to be obedient to God’s Word and

Psalm 148:7-10 (KJV) 7  Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8  Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
9  Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
10  Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

This really works but you have to speak forth God’s Word in faith. We have authority over our part of the world and it will respond to faith because faith created it!

Genesis 1:28 (KJV) 28  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Remember the dominion mandate that God gave Adam. We have that too and we need to exercise it. We are the ones with spiritual authority from God and if it’s going to get done, we have to do it. We don’t have authority over the entire world, just our part. If everyone would do their part, things would be a whole lot better! [Note: We have authority over the earth, but not people. That’s witchcraft to try to control people. We need to bind the evil spirits that are influencing people to do evil.]

Jesus defeated and paralyzed satan and now we need to occupy and defend that defeat. That’s our part. Jesus already did His part; we need to do our part. He’s coming back for a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle and we need to be ready!

Ephesians 5:27 (KJV) 27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)
