You’ll never get to your destination headed in the wrong direction. Whatever your GPS is set on is where you’re headed. Yes, we know that. Really?
Of course we all know that you can’t get to your destination if you’re headed in the wrong direction. If your destination is Dallas but you keep seeing signs for Boston, guess what? You’re headed in the wrong direction! So you pull over and change your course. At least that’s what you should do.
This seems sort of silly to even say but many people are actually headed in the wrong direction toward their destiny but keep ignoring the road signs. Let me explain.
I’m going to address born-again Christians because the unsaved are truly headed in the wrong direction and that’s a whole other issue.
Let’s take healing for example. If you’re a person who gets sick and goes to the doc each time to get meds but wonder why you’re sick so often with one thing after another, let me suggest that you’re missing the “road signs” along the way.
Sure it’s okay to go to the doctor but when are you going to start believing God’s Word regarding healing that says by the stripes of Jesus you’ve already been healed? That means healing has already been bought and paid for at the same time the remission of your sins was bought and paid for.
What did you have to do to get forgiven of your sins? Nothing on your part but to accept Jesus’ sacrifice and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. It’s the same with healing. It’s the same package deal! All you have to do is to receive what’s already been bought and paid for by the Lord Jesus and freely given by our Heavenly Father. What a deal that is!
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
But if you continue ignoring the blessings that have already been given and made available to you, the only thing left is the world’s way of doing things and we know how that works!
Yes, medicine can help but God’s ways are permanent and free! [Did I mention FREE?] Unfortunately many, if not most, Christians don’t go to God for healing believing that it will work and that it’s God’s will to heal everyone, every time.
How many born-again Christians truly believe Mark 11:23-24 and speak to their problem in the Name of Jesus commanding results? Not many! That’s why there are so many sickly Christians who look and act just like the unsaved when it comes to healing.
Brothers and sisters, we need to start believing God’s Word about everything He says if we’re going to live the victorious life He has for us and be the blessing we’re to be.
Mark 11:23-24 (KJV) 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Matthew 8:17 (KJV) 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV) 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
2 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV) 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Isaiah 54:17a (KJV) 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
Psalm 91:1-16 (KJV)
Deuteronomy 28:1-14 (KJV)
