Expressing Our Faith Through Words – Part II

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

We are made in God’s image and we are to act like He would act. That’s the way He has set it up to work and if we’ll get on board, it will work for us and we’ll see the manifestation of God’s glory in the earth. Why do you think He has commanded us to take dominion over the earth? Because that’s what He wants. He wants His people ruling and reigning, not the devil’s evil cohorts.

So just how are we to do this? We’re to use our faith-filled words to effect change in our circumstances and be the overcomers God has ordained us to be.

1 John 5:4 (KJV) 4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

It’s with our faith that we overcome the world and it’s with our words that faith is released.

Remember, we are three parts: spirit, soul, and body. We are called speaking spirits. No other created being has what we have: the ability to choose what we believe and speak faith-filled words to change things.

Faith-filled words create, restore, and change circumstances in our lives. That’s how God does things and that’s how He expects us to do things. The God-kind of faith is proactive not reactive. We’re not called to follow the devil around cleaning up his mess. We are to speak forth the end from the beginning and then see the manifestation of what we’ve called into being.

Speak what you want, not what you have!
