God’s Promises are for Us but are Not Automatic!

2 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV) 3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Oh the promises of God! How awesome that Almighty God would so graciously extend to us all that He has! What a life He intends for us! So, why aren’t we seeing His promises manifesting in our lives? Good question!

First of all, when God speaks, we should listen! He has said that all of His promises are for us and they’re always in the “yes” column! But, just because God has given, doesn’t mean we automatically receive. Receiving is not automatic.

Our problem is not with the Giver – God, but is with us – the receiver. Receiving anything from God is not automatic. Take salvation for example: God has given but not all receive because receiving is a choice and requires faith on our part. Faith activates the promises as we reach out and take hold on what God has already given.

Let’s use healing as another example. I Pet. 2:24 tells us that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed – past tense. This is a done deal. Healing has already been provided through the Lord Jesus but not everyone is healed – just look around!

It’s not God’s fault that people aren’t healed. He’s done His part so we’re the ones who have missed it somewhere on the receiving end.

Remember, faith activates the power of God and causes His promises to manifest in our lives: healing, deliverance, provision, protection, wholeness. etc. All of these have been provided for us but all are not walking in their inheritance.

We need to take God at His Word and take our places as sons and daughters of the Most High God. He loves us and wants us to partake of all He’s provided. That’s why He’s made every provision for us. He’s looking for those to whom He can show Himself strong (II Chronicles 16:9). Be one of those!

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

2 Chronicles 16:9 (KJV) 9  For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Don’t Let Your Past Mistakes Define You!

How many times have you thought that if you could just have a do-over, you wouldn’t have made those wrong decisions or done that dumb thing? But, you can’t. The past is the past and you can’t go back.

Of course, we’ve all made mistakes that we wish we wouldn’t have, but that’s life on planet earth. We live in a fallen world and we have an enemy who’s out to steal, kill, and destroy us. But – Jesus came to give us abundant life that we can live to the full ’til it’s overflowing.

Know this, our mistakes don’t define who we are. It might feel like they do but that’s not the truth. God’s Word defines who we are.

To help prove my point, take the reverse situation: One good deed doesn’t make an honorable person out of someone with bad character. Likewise, someone who lives right and then makes a dumb mistake, doesn’t make them a bad person.

As Christians, our hearts are to do the right thing and bring glory and honor to our Lord Jesus. But on the other hand, we’re not immune to making bad decisions or dumb mistakes. What we must do is pull ourselves up but the boot straps, confess our mistake, receive God’s forgiveness, and then forgive ourselves.

Yes, we must forgive ourselves, which seems like one of the hardest things to do when we’ve erred and want to beat up ourselves for having messed up.

God is so gracious to forgive us, cleanse us, and get us back on track. We don’t have the right to hold unforgiveness against ourselves any more than we don’t have the right to hold unforgiveness against another person. We don’t even belong to ourselves. We belong to the Lord and He’s forgiven us, even before we’ve sinned. That’s what happened on the Cross. Praise the name of Jesus!

Remember, we’re the temple of the Holy Spirit and He lives in us. We need to honor Him by having mercy on ourselves and walking in His comfort.

Let’s rise above our mistakes and shortcomings and be all that God has called us to do!

John 10:10 (KJV) 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Proverbs 24:16 (KJV) 16  For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

1 John 1:9 (KJV) 9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV) 21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Ephesians 4:24 (KJV) 24  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
1 Corinthians 1:30 (KJV) 30  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Are Signs & Wonders for Us Today?

Isaiah 8:18 (KJV) 18  Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Signs and wonders should be common among Christians. As born-again believers, filled and empowered with the Holy Spirit, we’re in a unique position to be used of God to show the world how great our God is and that He is for us and not against us. He’s on our side! He’s a good God and worthy of all praise and honor and glory! And – Jesus told us that we would do the same works that He did. How awesome!

Too many times people are looking for the spectacular and miss the supernatural. The Holy Spirit is always with us to move and manifest Himself but we have to provide the right environment for Him. It’s a heart issue.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Here we see where Jesus told the disciple to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils. Of themselves, they couldn’t do this but empowered by God, they could. All these manifestations were supernatural, and yes, even spectacular. Anytime God moves, it’s supernatural. Even when the Holy Spirit speaks to you in the still small voice, or when you’re praying in tongues, it’s supernatural even though it might not seem spectacular.

Just as signs and wonders were part of the early Church, so they should be part of the 21st century Church of the Living God! Jesus used healings as a calling card. He got people’s attention and that’s what we need to do. As I’ve said before, when people get healed, delivered, set free, and even raised from the dead, the unsaved will notice! You’ll have more revival than you ever imagined!

As Christians, we need to exhibit the attributes of the Lord Jesus. If we’re just as sick, broke, and depressed as our unsaved neighbors, why would they want to be like us? Yes, we’re saved but if we’re not walking in our inheritance, walking far below our God-given privileges, we do God an injustice by living like we’re orphans and serving a God who doesn’t really care about us. This ought not so to be.

We need to walk in all that the Lord Jesus bought and paid for – deliverance, healing, soundness, preservation, and wholeness, and do the works that He did.

I suspect that even though Christians love the Lord, most don’t even know what was provided in the atonement and therefore, they’re living far below their privileges.

So, what do we do? Get into God’s Word – study to show yourself approved, a workman that needs not be ashamed, know God’s Word, and use it to take dominion over the  devil and over every evil circumstance that comes against you.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Romans 10:17 (KJV) 17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

You see, you can’t have faith beyond your knowledge of God’s Word because that’s where faith is. Faith stops at the question mark. God’s Word has to be the benchmark and final authority for all that you do. That’s the way to the success, victory, and the supernatural that God wants you to walk in. Go for it!

Acts 5:12 (KJV) 12  And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.

Acts 14:3 (KJV) 3  Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
2 Corinthians 12:12 (KJV) 12  Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
Hebrews 2:3-4 (KJV) 3  How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
4  God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

Genesis 1:28 (KJV) 28  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Hebrews 13:8 (KJV) 8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

How Big is the God You Serve?

Most Christians would respond that their God is a big God! But, do they really believe that? Do you really believe that?

Do you believe our God is bigger than sickness and disease? Is He bigger than poverty and lack? Is He bigger than any addiction or bondage? Of course, as a Christian, you would answer yes. But, in reality, do you believe that?

Too many times the devil runs roughshod over Christians and then tells them God is trying to teach then something or that their affliction has some redemptive value in it. Not so!

These are lies from the pit. God doesn’t use the devil’s evil ways to teach us. It’s the Holy Spirit Who teaches us by the Word of God. Jesus said that the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy but He came to give us abundant life [John 10:10].

Every answer to our problems is found in God’s Word and His Word never fails. Maybe you don’t agree with that because there were times you prayed and didn’t get the desired results. Maybe so, but it wasn’t the Word that failed. It was you!

God’s Word is incorruptible seed and works every time, if we’ll work it [I Peter 1:23]. As I’ve said many times, God will always do His part and we must do our part. He won’t do our part and we can’t so His part. The good news is that God has given us all the tools we need to be successful and victorious on planet earth: Jesus, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, the Blood of Jesus, the faith of Jesus, the angels. Plus we’ve been given dominion over the earth and commanded to subdue it [Gen. 1:28], which includes taking our authority and the power God and resisting the devil [James 4:7].

Remember, Jesus is waiting for us to put the devil under our feet before He returns for us [Heb. 10:13]. We need to get busy and be about our Father’s business. We’ve been given an assignment to make disciples of all nations, to do the works of Jesus [John 14:12], to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons [Matt. 10:8].

What a blessed people we are to be entrusted with such a commission! Thank You, Lord Jesus!

Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV) 18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:15-18 (KJV) 15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

John 14:12 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Matthew 10:7-8 (KJV) 7  And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) 20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Revelation 12:11 (KJV) 11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Genesis 1:28 (KJV)  28  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Hebrews 10:12-13 (KJV) 12  But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13  From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

John 10:10 (KJV) 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
1 Peter 1:23 (KJV) 23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Is Your Faith Being Undermined on a Daily Basis?

Are you in need of healing and praying for a quickening so you can get on with your life? Are you in a rut – dealing with the same afflictions over and over – flu, sinuses, depression, anxiety, etc., etc., etc.?

If you’re not really interested in God’s healing, but rather pop a pill, read no further. But, if you want to settle things once and for all and get God’s best for your life, keep reading.

Serious Christians confess the Word of healing scriptures, take their stand, and continue to fight the good fight of faith. But somehow, this doesn’t always seem to get their desired results. So what’s the problem?

First of all, the Word is not the problem because God’s Word always works. However, if you’re doing something to short-circuit the Word, something to negate or cancel it, rendering it ineffective, then that must stop!

Yes, there are many things that can negate your faith: strife, unforgiveness, disobedience to the Word, etc. but the one I want to zero in on is your TV!

As you are well aware, at any one time you can be inundated with TV commercials advertising drugs for just about every disease known to mankind! This is not good because just watching those commercials is planting seeds in you that could produce a dangerous or even a deadly crop! Not only that, it causes you to look to the drug for healing instead of God and His Word.

If you don’t have a sickness, the commercial’s symptoms will encourage you to consider having said disease. It’s really evil the way they glorify sickness, disease, and malfunctioning of your body.

To them, it’s almost a badge of honor to have some of those diseases! But that’s not what God says.

Sickness and disease are a curse and out to rob, kill, and destroy everything in its path. You should want no part of it.

Why am I making such a big deal about this? Because feeding on those commercials will undermine your faith and cause you to doubt God’s Word and turn to the world’s way of doing things, which is under the influence of the devil and all his evil works.

Mute the commercials and feed on God’s Word. His Word always works because He backs it up, as does all of Heaven. You can’t ask for more than that!

What an awesome God we serve!

Psalm 119:89 (KJV) 89  For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) 12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) 12  For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
1 Peter 1:23 (KJV) 23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Unforgiveness – A Faith Killer!

Matthew 18:33-35 (KJV) 33  Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
34  And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
35  So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Sure, you’ve been hurt, humiliated, maybe even crushed to the core but what of it? So what! We’ve all been through similar things. It just seems like our personal hurts are worse than anyone else’s. But they’re not. Here’s where forgiveness comes in. Holding unforgiveness toward another person – even yourself – never accomplishes the will of God and never causes victory over the situation.

Unforgiveness, as you can see in the opening scripture, causes torment – not from God but from the enemy who will jump right in and take advantage of you. And the longer you harbor the unforgiveness, the worse it gets because unforgiveness will hinder, negate, and ultimately cancel your faith. And it can make you sick!

God is merciful but He can’t bless disobedience to His Word. You tie His hands and block His blessing in your life.

So what do we do? Release the person or persons who have offended and hurt you; forgive them and let it go. Doing this is not a justification for what they did. You’re doing it for your sake, so your conscience is clear before God.

Remember, God, in His mercy and grace, forgave all your sins, weaknesses, and short-comings when you certainly didn’t deserve it and never will.

Let’s forgive from our hearts and stop blocking God’s blessings in our lives, live the victorious life He has for us, and be a blessing to everyone around us!

Matthew 18:21-35 (KJV)

1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) 13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (AMP) 13  For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

For We Walk by Faith & Not by Sight!

2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV) 7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

As bona fide, born-again, Bible-believing Christians, our desire is to please God – right? And, as we see in the above scripture, faith is the way to please Him. As Paul said in II Cor. 5:7, we walk by faith and not by sight.

But, what does this really mean and how do we know if we’re walking by faith and not by sight? How do we know this without just thinking we’re walking by faith when actually we’re steeped in walking by sight – being led by our five physical senses?

I like what the Lord told Charles Capps about what many people think faith is: high expectation based on wrong information. And if that’s what you’re doing, it won’t produce desired results.

Faith, true faith that actually pleases God, is faith based on the integrity of His Word and not on circumstances or our five physical senses – what we can see, hear, taste, touch, or smell. Is what you’re believing and walking in based on God’s Word? Or, are you being led by what someone else has said or done?

The only thing that will get God-results is what is based on what God has already said in His Word. That’s why He gave us His Word – so we can get the results we so greatly desire.

Remember, we’re not orphans. God, in His infinite wisdom, has so thoroughly provided everything we’ll ever need to prosper and be successful on planet earth. Our part is to partake of His promises by receiving what He has given.

God’s Word is incorruptible seed and when planted in the soil of your heart, will produce what it was sent to do. His Word always works; that’s a given! But we must work the Word. Any failure to produce is on our part – not God’s.

What a blessed people we are!

1 Peter 1:23 (KJV) 23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Isaiah 55:10-11 (KJV) 10  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

How Can You Rest When You’re So Busy?

It’s been a long day and now you’re at home looking forward to a restful evening. You might go out and work in the garden, throw in a load of wash, get dinner started, etc.

Americans are notorious for “working” while they rest. But is that really what the Lord is saying in Hebrews 4? Is God telling us to do nothing and become a couch potato? Certainly not!

When God rested from His work on the seventh day, it didn’t mean He was weary and tired. It meant that He had finished all He was going to do and everything was finished. Therefore, He rested from all His work because there was no more to be done!

So, what does that mean for us? It means that we have to get out of the way and let God do what He does best – use His power and ability on our behalf to answer our prayers. But, too much of the time we pray and then try to “help” God accomplish what only He can do. Remember, we have our part to do and God has His part. He won’t do ours, and we certainly can’t do His.

That’s what resting in the Lord is all about – using our faith to access the promises of God and then trusting in the promises. It really makes life so much easier!

And, by the way, it takes work and effort to trust God. We have to fight against the forces of evil that war to keep us sick, broke, and depressed when Jesus bought and paid for our complete deliverance! We need to resist the devil and his evil plans to thwart God’s blessings in our lives.

Stand your ground and see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!

Hebrews 4:1-11 (KJV) 1  Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2  For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3  For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4  For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5  And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6  Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7  Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8  For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) 8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

What’s Your Word IQ?

How many times have you prayed and prayed and wondered just where your answer was? What’s the problem? And what’s the solution?

The problem is that you’re probably praying and believing wrong. The solution is that every problem is a “knowledge of the Word” problem. Whatever problem you’re having, the answer is the Word of God.

If you have need of healing, the answer is God’s Word: Isa. 53:3-4; I Pet. 2:24; Mark 11:23-24.

If you have a financial problem, the answer is God’s Word: Luke 6:38; Mark 11:23-24; III John 2; Mark 4:20; Mal. 3:8-10.

Whatever your problem is, God’s Word is the answer. So, if you’re not seeing the results you desire, you have a knowledge problem. You need to get God’s Word on the situation and stand on it.

Of course, all this involves faith and studying the Word of God so that when you stand and confess it over your situation, there’s an anointing that comes forth wih power and causes the manifestation of what you’re believing for.

God’s Word must be the final authority in all you do if you want to walk in the victory He has for you.

Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV) 4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Mark 11:23-24 (KJV) 23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Luke 6:38 (KJV) 38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
3 John 1:2 (KJV) 2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Mark 4:20 (KJV) 20  And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
Mark 10:29-30 (KJV) 29  And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30  But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Malachi 3:8-10 (KJV) 8  Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9  Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

You Won’t Reach Your Destination if You’re on the Wrong Road!

In the natural, physical world that we live in, it’s common knowledge that you won’t reach your destination if you’re on the wrong road. Makes sense, right?

But, when it comes to the things of God – the spirit realm – most Christians forget that the same thing applies. They think they can do “any ’ol thing” they want and still get the desired results. But, it just doesn’t happen that way.

To operate in the spirit realm requires following spiritual laws. And those laws are the Word of God. Everything in the spirit realm operates by God’s laws – the law of faith, law of love, laws of prosperity, healing, deliverance, etc.

God has set His laws in the earth for us to partake of them and reap the results we desire. But, and I mean but, we must abide by those laws if we want to see victory and success.

For example: If you want healing, you need to stand on God’s Word for healing — I Peter. 2:24, Isaiah 53:5, Mark 11:23-24. If it’s abundance you desire, stand on Luke 6:38, III John 2, Mark 10:29-30. And the list goes on.

The point is that whatever you desire, find out what God has already provided for you in His Word and take your stand. Trying to do it “your way” instead of God’s way is taking the wrong road and who knows where you’ll end up!

Standing on God’s Word is not a formula to be uttered like a parrot. It has to get into your heart (spirit) in abundance so that when you speak it out, the power of God comes forth and causes the manifestation. And you get it into your heart by continually confessing it – Romans 10:17.

Don’t make up your own rules. Get focused on God’s Word – His laws – and walk in the victory He has provided for you.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) 5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Romans 10:17 (KJV) 17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
