Peace in the Middle of the Storm

Can we really have peace in the middle of a storm? Of course we can but it’s not automatic. Just think of all the times God tells us to “fear not.” Every time an angel appeared, he greeted them saying, “Fear not!” Why? Because fear and peace don’t mix. Just like fear and faith don’t’ mix, fear and peace don’t mix. They negate each other.

That’s how it is with peace. If you want peace in your life, and we all do, then we’re going to have to guard our hearts and keep fear out. Another thing is that if you’re in fear, it’s because you’re looking at and focusing on the wrong things: health issues, bad reports, financial woes, family issues, and of course, the world situation. Any number of things can cloud your minds and hinder your faith from working because they’re fear based.

Proverbs 4:23 (AMP) 23  Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

Proverbs 16:3 (AMP) 3  Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.

We have an obligation to guard our hearts so that fear can’t get in and wreak havoc.

Jesus firmly told us to NOT let our hearts be troubled and then He says that He gave us His peace. And if Jesus gives us His peace, we have peace!

John 14:1 (KJV) 1  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

John 14:27 (KJV) 27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Notice in Gal. 5:22-23 that peace is a fruit of your re-born spirit. It’s in there because you get it when you’re born-again. But it’s up to you to release it and let it come forth. I say it like this, “I release peace to come forth and manifest in my life!” That’s what you can do with all nine fruits – release them to come forth and manifest.

Of course, you must resist fear and command it to go and it has to leave. You’re the one in charge. You’re the one with spiritual authority but you have to step out in faith and act on God’s Word in order for God’s Word to profit you.

What a loving Father we have Who has so provided for us! Praise the Lord of Glory!

Mark 4:35-41 (KJV) 35  And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
36  And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37  And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38  And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39  And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40  And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41  And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) 8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Whose Side are You On?

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) 19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

It seems that in the game of life, which isn’t really a game, you’re either on one side of the other at any one time. And so it is today during all the upheaval that’s going on in our nation. People are waffling, caving, and back-stepping from the good stand they had. This ought not to be.

You can’t walk in darkness and expect to have life. Darkness obscures the light and the light is where life is. Jesus said that we are the light of the world. That means that we are to bring joy and hope everywhere we go – not doom and gloom! To see some of God’s people, you’d think they were baptized in lemon juice!

For those of you who have stood with God’s people, and His prophets, through this horrendous upheaval we’re in, know that God is very much aware and never overlooks faith-filled prayers. Those prayers are before Him night and day. His Plan and His glory is invading the earth and we’re about to see the greatest Revival and harvest earth has ever seen!

But for those who have come against us and tried to defame, discredit, and destroy us – look out! They’re on very dangerous ground – very thin ice and I can hear the sound of crackling!

Hold fast, dear brothers and sisters, because God is faithful and we will come out of this successful and victorious!

Matthew 5:14 (KJV) 14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Matthew 5:16 (KJV) 16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Ephesians 6:13 (KJV) 13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Genesis 50:20 (KJV) 20  But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Proverbs 6:31 (KJV) 31  But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

1 John 5:4 (KJV) 4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV) 21  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Hebrews 10:23 (KJV) 23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

How’s Your Progress?

2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMP) 18  And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

God’s plans and purposes for us do not include getting saved and then stuck! He has big plans for each of us but it’s up to us whether or not we ever fulfill those plans.

As you will notice in the above scripture, we are to progress from one degree of glory to another! Wow! We could stop and camp there for awhile. Then in Romans 1:17 we read that we go from faith to faith:

Romans 1:17 (KJV) 17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

This is awesome! Just thinking and meditating on this is glorious but how do we do it? Read on.

As you see in II Cor.3:18, it’s the Word of God that we are to behold. We are to be constantly looking to God’s Word for everything we do. What you continuously focus on, is what you become like. Therefore, if you’re in the Word and the Word is in you, you are becoming more and more like Jesus – going from faith to faith and glory to glory!

Have you ever noticed how married couples, who’ve been married for a longtime, begin to resemble each other in many ways? That’s because they’ve been “looking” at each other, observing each other and their individual ways. It rubs off on them. That’s why it’s so important who you hang out with. Hanging out with the wrong group can be very dangerous but hanging out with Jesus – The Word – will cause you to grow and progress – from one degree of glory to another.

1 Corinthians 15:33 (AMP) 3  Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.

One of the tricks of the devil is to convince you that you can hang out with the wrong group and be a good influence on them. This rarely works and can have the opposite effect – you becoming like them. What you need to do is to let your light shine for all to see and the goodness of God in your life will lead people to repentance. They’ll see your good works and want to know how you got that way and what makes you tick!

Remember, you’re the salt of the earth. Be a salty light!

Matthew 5:16 (KJV) 16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:13-14 (KJV) 13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV) 18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) 17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Romans 2:4b (KJV) 4  … knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Don’t Let Reasoning Get in the Way of God’s Word!

Too many times we set ourselves up for missing God and what He has for us to do because we let our reasoning get in the way. Nowhere in the word does God tell us to judge His Word by our five physical senses or our intellect or emotions. All of that is reasoning and can lead us down the wrong path.

God has so graciously given us His Holy Word and Holy Spirit to lead and guide us along the path He has ordained for us. But He will never override our free will to do things our way – no matter how dumb it may be!

Now, on the other hand, the enemy – the devil – will influence, bombard, and coerce us to do wrong. So what can we do to thwart his plans and save ourselves a lot of heartache?

First, know that God’s Word has all the answers to what we will ever need to be victorious in this life on planet earth. But, it’s up to us to get into the Word and dig around to find out what God has already said and promised us. And this, dear brothers and sisters, takes time and diligence. Not everyone is willing to put time and effort into discovering what God has for them and His way of leading them to victory in every area of their lives.

Too many Christians are content to just go along with the status quo and muddle through life, waiting for the Rapture. This ought not so to be. God has so much more for us. He actually has a life worth living for you that would astound you if you knew it!

Another thing is that when you do get a Word from the Lord about you situation, don’t let your reasoning talk you out of it. Check out His Word for confirmation and wait on Him for further leadings. The Holy Spirit is right there to help you.

We are to be led by the witness in our re-born spirit – not worldly outside influences and feelings. This only comes with practice. You have to practice hearing from the Lord so that you know the difference between His voice and the worldy reasoning. His leading comes from your spirit – your heart. Reasoning come from your head!

Many times we can look back and remember when, before we made a mistake or blunder, there was that “still small voice” inside telling us not to do it. I call it red flashing lights. So, why did we override it? Because we “reasoned” it out and chose the wrong solution. Been there, done that! And I don’t want to do that again. My heart is to listen the first time and save myself a lot of heartache. But more than that, I want to please God by walking in faith and obeying His Word.

[Note: You are a spirit; you have a soul – your mind, will, emotions, and you live in a body.]

2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV) 11  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
1 Kings 19:12 (KJV) 12  And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
Romans 7:22 (KJV) 22  For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) 23  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) 12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Great Awakening is Coming

For those of you who were born in the 80s and beyond, let me give you a bit of history.

Back in the 60s there was a lot of unrest in the US. We had four assassinations – John and Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Malcolm X; there were awful riots and looting in Watts [Los Angeles, CA]; Civil Rights protestors, the drug and hippy movement was alive and going strong; protests and burning of buildings in Berkley, CA; the Vietnam War was raging – unlike any other war in history; and of course, of all things, the “God is Dead Movement” – especially among university students. These are just a few things that characterized the unrest in our country during the 60s.

So what does all this mean? Well, in the late 60s and 70s, the Jesus Movement came on the scene. And oh what a time it was! That’s when I got saved and it changed my life forever! You see, the devil was trying with all his might to stop that movement but he couldn’t.

Now, fast forward to today – January 2021. Look at what we’ve been through in the past year: the apathy of the Church regarding political and social issues; the Covid-19 pandemic that affected the whole world; the lockdowns; the rise of suicide and domestic abuse because of the lockdowns; businesses closing and poverty raising its ugly head; censorship on social media; trying to silence the President of the USA, which is the height of arrogance gone to seed; rioting, looting, and violence – to name some of the turbulence that has taken place and is still trying to hold us back.

I ask you why did and is all this happening? Because the Great Revival – the Great Awakening – is about to break forth in a way we’ve never imagined! It’s going to be awesome and righteousness is coming back to the land. That’s why the enemy is trying so hard to keep us distracted with all that’s going on around us – to stop the move of God that’s about to break forth! We need to keep our eyes on God!

What an awesome time to be alive! We’re so blessed to be this generation and be part of God’s wonderful Plan, and has He got a Plan! Know this for sure, good always triumphs over evil.

So, dear brothers and sisters, prepare you hearts for this awesome Revival that’s about to break forth because the “sleeping giant” is waking up and we’re going to see the glory of the Lord cover the earth!

Habakkuk 2:14 (KJV) 14  For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Isaiah 5:20 (KJV) 20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

So Where Do We Stand?

I want to address what is currently happening here in the US. I know many of my viewers are from other nations but know for sure that the whole world is watching what is happening in the US.

Let me start by saying that I am very encouraged that God has a Plan and He is working that Plan. And, He doesn’t have to reveal every detail to us! Remember, when the military is working a covert operation, that’s exactly what it is – covert! They don’t tell the enemy what their plans are! How ridiculous would that be?

Likewise, God is not going to reveal His Plan in front of the enemy so that satan can thwart what He is doing. No, no, no! However, what He does do is reveal just enough to His prophets to encourage us that He is on the case!

Now for a word of encouragement. We must remember that God is the One Who founded this nation because of the people who loved Him. He has a covenant with us and He will not turn His back on us or break His covenant.

Remember also that most of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is sent forth from this country to all the world to share the goodness of God with and to everyone who will receive. That touches the heart of God and He will preserve this.

And God does not ever condone evil – never has and never will. Just look around at the latest happenings and you know that they are evil. God is not pleased! In fact, He’s fed up and He’s about to show Himself strong to those of us who have stood in faith and believed to see His goodness in the land of the living. The devil has overplayed his hand and pay day is coming!

Brothers and sisters, it’s not over until God says it’s over and He’s not saying that! The US is coming back into the hands of the righteous and President Trump is still our president. That’s what I believe and I’m not budging! Things are going to get messy and anyone on the wrong side better get over onto our side. Anyone who sides with abortionists and the killing of innocent babies, will not escape when the axe falls.

The good thing is that there is still time for them to repent and get right with God and throw themselves on the mercy of God and ask for forgiveness for siding with the evil group. This is serious and can mean the difference between life and death.

Stand strong in faith, dear ones, and keep your focus on the Lord and what He’s doing. He’s for us, not against us, and we win! The Red Sea is about to close and there will be no escaping!

2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV) 20  …  Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Psalm 7:15-16 (KJV) 15  He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16  His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

Psalm 9:15 (KJV) 15  The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
Proverbs 28:10 (KJV) 10  Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
Ecclesiastes 10:8 (KJV) 8  He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
Ecclesiastes 10:8 (AMP) 8  He who digs a pit [for others] will fall into it, and whoever breaks through a fence or a [stone] wall, a serpent will bite him.

Psalm 89:34 (KJV) 34  My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

The Promises of God

Surely you’ve heard that the Bible is filled with God’s promises but did you ever think about how many there are? Well, hold onto you seatbelt: there are over 7000 promises of God in the Bible! Wow! How awesome is that!

Yes, there are all those promises to us but many of them are contingent upon us doing something on our part. And just for the record, there are over 600 commandments in the Bible! Perhaps you weren’t aware of this but it’s true, nonetheless. Many of the commandments are Old Testament Law commandments, but still, it’s an overwhelming number.

But getting back to God’s promises. Most of the promises have requirements to fulfill before you can partake of the promise. For example, too many times people are waiting for their ship to come in but they’ve never sent one out. God’s Word says that in order to receive, you have to give first.

Luke 6:38 (KJV) 38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

And then dealing with issues in your life. Too many times people want to “see” the answer before they believe and receive. But God says to believe you receive when you pray, and then you’ll see the results.

Mark 11:23-24 (KJV) 23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Actually, in verse 23 we are told to “speak” to the mountains – the issues, and then cast them into the sea. After that we are to believe we receive the answer before we see it and then we shall have it. It all seems so backwards from what the world says. But then again, most of what God does is opposite of the world’s ways.

And so it is with salvation. Even though God provided salvation for everyone through the Blood of Jesus, unless a person believes and accepts His free gift, they’re not saved.

Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) 9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Search out God’s promises for what you need and you will find that He has everything covered. And even if you can’t find scripture and verse that exactly pertains to your situation, go to James and get wisdom from God.

James 1:5 (KJV) 5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Proverbs 2:6-7 (KJV) 6  For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7  He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) 7  Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

God isn’t hiding His wisdom from us. But we must search it out. It’s there – go get it and rejoice!

Woe Unto Those Who Mock God!

Galatians 6:7 (AMP) 7  Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.

Notice that God says anyone who attempts to mock God actually deludes and deceives himself. God warns us that whatever we sow is that which we shall reap – good or bad. This is His Word.

If you’ve been paying attention, there has been a lot of mocking of God for decades. Mocking His people is mocking Him and we’ve certainly seen a speeding up of this lately in the United States. They’ve been doing it because they thought they could get away with it. But NO – they’re not getting away with it. They’ll reap upon themselves the very evil they’ve sown and it won’t be pretty.

For those of you in the US and even in other nations, know that God’s Plan is in place and He will deliver us. Remember, His ways, His thoughts, and His timing are not our ways, thoughts, or timing. We can’t make God do things “our” way. We don’t know everything and He knows what’s best. We need to let Him work His Plan and know that whatever He does is the very BEST that we could ever hope for.

Brothers and sisters, we’re in a time that no other generation has ever seen – a time of signs, wonders, miracles, and the manifestation of God’s Glory that will knock your socks off!

Stay faithful, stay at peace, and keep your eyes on the Lord! The BEST is yet to come!

Habakkuk 2:14 (KJV) 14  For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
Numbers 14:21 (KJV) 21  But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.

Isaiah 55:8 (KJV) 8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

How Important is God’s Word?

Is God’s Word, the Bible, all that important or is it just another book? Well, if you’ve been following my blogs, you know what I believe about God’s Word.

Everything we are, have, and believe is totally based on God’s Word: you get saved on God’s Word, your faith is based on God’s Word, and you live your whole life based on God’s Word. At least that’s the way God has set it up. Granted, this is not true of everyone.

If what you do and live is not based on God’s Word, what is it based on? The only thing left is the world’s way of doing things and you know how false that can be.

We are to be people who walk by faith and not by sight. That can’t happen if you don’t know God’s Word because that’s where faith is.

And another thing, all the answers you’ll ever need are in God’s Word. So when you pray about a particular issue, many times God will answer with a scripture that comes up from your spirit. BUT, you can’t remember something you never learned! That’s why it’s so vitally important that you get into the Word every day and get the Word into you. It can be the difference between life and death.

There are so many voices in the world that sometimes it’s difficult to distinguish between what’s of the Lord and what’s not. But Jesus said His sheep know His voice and that’s what we have to rely on. But if you don’t know His Word, you can be easily duped. Everything you hear, no matter which source it comes from, must line up with the Word of God, if it’s actually from God.

This, dear brothers and sisters, is something you must do for yourself. No one can do it for you. Yes, if takes effort and diligence but it’s worth every minute and has eternal rewards!

Romans 10:17 (KJV) 17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 1:17b (KJV) 17  … The just shall live by faith.

John 10:14 (KJV) 14  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
John 10:27 (KJV) 27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Stand Still and See the Salvation of the Lord!

[Author’s note: This is my 300th blog. I am so thankful to the Lord for giving me this platform to teach His Word!]

How many times have you felt like you were backed up against a wall with nowhere to turn – a Red Sea moment! So what should you do?

Well, the Israelites were in that same situation – couldn’t turn to the left nor to the right. They couldn’t go back to Egypt because Pharaoh was hot on their trail. And – the Red Sea loomed in front of them! But GOD!

Yes, God had on purpose brought them by way of the Red Sea so they wouldn’t have any place to turn, lest they turn back to Egypt. So, what did they do? They cried to the Lord about what to do and His Word was to stand still and see His salvation.

Praise and worship to God went forth all night and the waters parted – congealed – and they went forth on dry land! Praise the Lord of Glory – a miracle indeed!

Too many times people cave in when a crisis comes, only to find out that if they had just stood their ground in faith, victory would have been theirs. Remember, dear saints, in one hour things can change. I’ve seen this happen over and over and was so glad I didn’t quit standing!

It takes courage to stand. Anybody can quit. Just do nothing and you’ve quit. By that I mean nothing! Standing in faith is not doing nothing. Standing in faith takes spiritual energy but it works because when you’re standing in faith, you’re standing on God’s Word and He’s always watching over His Word to cause it to come to pass!

Stand strong, brothers and sisters. Stay in peace and keep your eyes on the Lord! Victory is ours!

Exodus 14:13 (KJV) 13  And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
Jeremiah 1:12 (KJV) 12  Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
Jeremiah 1:12 (AMP) 12  Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.
