We’re in Two Places at the Same Time!

Ephesians 1:20-23 (KJV) 20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Colossians 1:19 (KJV) 19  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
Colossians 2:9-10 (KJV) 9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

From the above passages, we see that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, far above all all principality, power, might, dominion, and every name that is named! But that’s not all—God has put all things under Jesus’ feet and He is the Head of the Church, which is us. Now comes the good part—

Ephesians 2:6 (KJV) 6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

1 John 4:13 (KJV) 13  Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
1 John 5:20 (KJV) 20  And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

The good part is that we are in Jesus and in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. That means that we are seated with Him in heavenly places, far above all principality, power, might, and dominion. We’re in two places at the same time!

That’s awesome because we don’t have to fear the devil anymore since we are in Jesus. We have power and authority over all of the enemy’s evil works! That’s so encouraging and freeing! But, and I mean BUT, we have to take our authority in faith and stand against Satan. He’s a defeated foe but ignorance of that fact will keep you in bondage.

So, you see, since we are in Jesus, and He is seated in Heavenly places, we too are seated with Him in heavenly places. That’s a really good perspective to view things from! We want to soar with the eagles, not grovel on the ground in the muck and mire.

Keep that heavenly perspective and you will avoid all kinds of anxiety.
