Notice the Amplified version of Hebrews 11:1:
Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) 1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
Faith is what we hold onto until we see the manifestation of what we’re believing for. Since everything we need is in the spirit realm first, and we can’t see it with our physical senses, we have to trust our faith to be the evidence that we will get it. It’s the title deed to what we want. It’s the proof of the things we don’t yet see but we know that they’re just as real as if we could see them. That’s faith!
If you can see it with your physical eyes, you don’t need faith for it. That’s why seeing is not believing. Once you see it, you don’t need faith for it.
Hebrews 11:3 (KJV) 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
God framed the worlds by His Words. He actually spoke the worlds and the whole universe into being! That’s so awesome! And where did those faith-filled words come from? From inside God! It’s almost too much to wrap you head around!
But what I want you to see is that since God framed the worlds with His Words, that’s what we’re to do. We’re to frame our world with our words. That means that our words are so important even to the point of life and death.
Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Make no mistake, whether or not you’re speaking in line with God’s Word or in line with the devil’s words, you are framing your world with your words – for good or for evil! It should make you want to keep your mouth shut for a long time until you can trust what will come out.
Remember, even though you might not mean the evil words you say, it still opens the door for the devil to come right in and beat your spiritual brains out! You need to pray for crop failure on those evil words.
Psalm 141:3 (KJV) 3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
