We’ve been discussing how important the words are that we speak. It’s not just the words we speak in our prayer time but the words we speak all day long – 24/7. Our words frame our future because we gravitate toward what we believe.
Romans 10:8-10 (KJV) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I want you to notice that the Word is first in your mouth and then in your heart. That’s how you believe. But how does it get into your mouth and into your heart? By confessing it over and over and over. Then when it’s in your heart in abundance, it will come out with the dunamis power of God to effect a change in your circumstances.
As I’ve said, faith is a choice. We believe what we choose to believe, whether it’s true or not, whether it’s right or wrong. It’s our choice because we have a free will to make our own choices. Hopefully, we’ll get God’s Word into us and believe what He has said so that we can be the overcomers He’s called us to be.
1 John 5:4 (KJV) 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
