God’s Word is His Will! [Divine Healing – Part XI]

God is God! He’s exactly Who He says He is and He will do what He said He will do; He cannot lie! Remember, all the promises of God are YES!

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Numbers 23:19 (KJV) 19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
1 Kings 8:56b (KJV) 56  … there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

So where does that leave us? If God will do what He said in His Word, why does it seem so hard to get results when we pray? Good question. Read on!

God’s Word is his will and if we’ll stand on His Word, in faith, we’ll get our desired results. Everything with God works by faith. So even though God has promised us things in His Word, the only way we can access them is by faith.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

It’s not your prayer and fasting, Bible study, church attendance, or tithes and offerings that gets your prayers answered. It’s faith in God’s Word that He will do what He said He will do and that includes healing! That’s why I use so many scriptures in my blogs so that you know that it’s God’s will.

Healing is part of the Lord Jesus’ atonement – bought and paid for by His precious Blood. And as born-again Christians, it belongs to us just as much as the forgiveness of sins.

Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV) 4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

God’s Word is His will and His Word must be the final authority for all we believe and do! The evil report [of sickness and disease] is not the last report. Don’t ever agree with the evil report. God’s Word is the final authority and God always backs up His Word!

John 10:10 (KJV) 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Are You Basing Your Healing on God’s Approval of You? [Divine Healing – Part X]

First of all, every one of God’s promises are YES! But without faith it’s impossible to get them to manifest in your life because God is a faith God and that’s how He operates.

So, if you think you have to do everything right before God heals you, you’re on the wrong page. God isn’t looking for you to add to what Jesus already accomplished on the Cross. That was a done deal – perfect and complete. Your part is to receive what He bought and paid for –  your salvation – which included everything you’ll ever need in this life. That means your healing was bought and paid for at the same time as the payment for your sins!

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Your faith – Rom. 12:3 – that measure of faith that was given to everyone at the time of the new birth –  is what you need to appropriate in order to get your healing! Faith is believing that what God said is true and then acting on it! It’s really that simple!

Romans 12:3b (KJV) 3  …  according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

And just where is this faith we have been dealt? It’s God’s Word – the Holy Scriptures, the Bible! That’s where God’s faith is and that’s how we develop our measure that’s been given to us.

Romans 10:17 (KJV) 17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Our faith develops as we continue to walk in the light of God’s Word! The faith that God has given us is actually His faith and that faith is powerful enough to move the mountains in your life and that includes healing!

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) 20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Faith is like a muscle. You don’t get more muscles as you grow up. You simply exercise the ones you have and they develop into strong muscles. Yes it takes effort but it’s worth it. What you invest in is what you value.

Study faith. Read faith books. Listen to faith teachings. Become a faith giant, able to move mountains! You can do it!

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) 20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Mark 11:22-24 (KJV) 22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Accessing God’s Realm [Divine Healing – Part IX]

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

As you can see, faith is the way we please Gad and access His  realm. Or, as I like to say, the power realm! It doesn’t matter what we do if it isn’t done in faith. It does not impress God. And there a lot of people doing a lot of things that are not in faith, trying to please God, and then wonder why their prayers don’t work.

Since Jesus already the price for our complete salvation, there is nothing else for us to do. We don’t have to add to what He has already done. And sad to say, many are trying to gain God’s approval by their works.

Jesus has done a complete work and now our part is to receive what He’s already accomplished.

That’s how it is with healing. We can’t do anything to make healing more available than it already is. It’s already in the available in the spirit realm – the God realm – but we need to use our faith to access it and draw it into the physical realm where it manifests in our bodies.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

As I’ve said, the price for our healing has already been paid but if it’s not mixed with faith, we can’t get it.

Hebrews 4:1-2 (KJV) 1  Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2  For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

As you see, the Israelites didn’t profit from God’s Word because they didn’t mix faith with it. And it’s the same with us. We must believe that what God has said in His Word, He means. And then we need to stand on that Word and believe that it will work for us. That’s how we mix faith with His promises.

God Absolutely Wants to Heal You! [Divine Healing – Part VIII]

Before I get into this blog, let me say that even though God absolutely wants to heal you, He is not the variable – you are!

Acts 10:34 (KJV) 34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Romans 2:11 (KJV) 11  For there is no respect of persons with God.
Ephesians 6:9 (KJV) 9  And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

As you can see, God is not respecter of people and what He’s done for one, He can do for others, if they’ll believe and receive. Remember, it’s not God Who’s the variable – it’s us! In fact, it’s not even the devil because we can bind him and he must flee.

James 4:7 (KJV) 7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Now, even though God is not a respecter of people, that He’s not preferring one over another, He is a respecter of faith. And those that operate in faith in His Word are the ones who get results. In this case, it’s healing.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) 6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Here we see that if we walk in and by faith, we’re rewarded with results! Sound good to me! How ‘bout you?

So, just what is this faith that pleases God? Simply put, it’s our part in believing His Word and acting on it. Or as Andrew Wommack says, “It’s our positive response to what God has already provided by His grace.”

Faith is actually what activates God’s power and brings the healing into manifestation. The power and healing are already available in the spirit realm. But in order to get it to manifest in the physical realm, we have to use our faith.

Everything about our healing was bought and paid for by the Lord Jesus. And it’s the height of audacity and ignorance to think that we have to add to what Jesus has already done by being sick and disabled! Our salvation was complete and healing was part of it! Glory to God!

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The Passover Lamb – [Divine Healing – Part VII]

[Exodus 12 – You can refer to this chapter.]

When God instituted the Passover, He told the Israelites to kill an unblemished lamb and sprinkle the lintel and doorposts with the blood to protect them from the death angel.

Now, they were to eat the Passover Lamb the night before their Great Exodus and in doing so, they were healed, every one of them from every sickness, disease, or infirmity they had. They also left with silver and gold that they got from the Egyptians.

The point I want to make is that in eating the Passover Lamb, they were healed! And that can be true for us because our Passover Lamb is the Lord Jesus, Who is the Word of God. Jesus and His Word are One and when we partake of God’s Word, we too can be healed of whatever ails us.

This healing of the Israelites is the greatest mass healing of all times – about three million Jews healed in one night! And you know they must have had a multitude of issues having been Egyptian slaves for 430 years.

The good news for us is that we have an even better Covenant based on better promises – ratified in the precious Blood of our Lord Jesus. There should be no sickness or poverty among us because Jesus redeemed us from sin, sickness, poverty, and spiritual death.

Your healing was bought for you at the same time as the remission of your sins. How long did it take for you to accept Jesus’ sacrifice for your sins? In the same way it should be just as easy to receive your healing! You heard, you believed, you received! Praise the Lord of Glory!

Psalm 105:37 (KJV) 37  He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) 5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5 (AMP) 5  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The Woman with the Issue of Blood! [Divine Healing – Part VI]

Wow! This is one of my all-time favorite healing passages in the Bible.

Mark 5:25-34 (KJV) 25  And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26  And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27  When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29  And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31  And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32  And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33  But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34  And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Let’s break it down into bite-size pieces:

1 – [vs25] A certain woman indicates that this is about an actual woman, not a generic parable.

2 – [vs 26] She was in desperate straits:

a – Having spent all she had on doctors but didn’t get any better. In fact, she got worse!

3 – [vs 27] Now we see that she had heard of Jesus.  Just what did she hear?

a – That He went around doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. The blind received their sight, the deaf received hearing, the lame walked, and even the dead were raised! So guess what she believed—that she could get in on the healing!

4 – [vs 27-28] Next we see her headed toward Jesus because she believed that if she could get to Him and just touch his clothes, she would get healed.

a – She even said that to herself and I believe she kept saying it and kept getting closer and closer to Jesus when she finally reached out and touched His clothes.

Mark 5:28 (AMP) 28  For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health.

One meaning of the Greek word for said is saying which indicates that she kept saying, “If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.”

5 – [vs29] Then, praise the Lord, her blood flow stopped and she felt in her body that she was healed of the plague that had gripped her for twelve years.

Without going into much detail, know for sure that this was a very courageous woman because it was against Jesus law for her to mingle out in public.

6 – [vs 30] Now we see Jesus question the disciples about someone touching Him because He felt the power flow out of Him. However, it didn’t affect anyone but this woman. Why? Because her faith activated the healing anointing in Jesus and caused the manifestation in her body.

7 – [vs 34] Notice that Jesus didn’t say it was His power that healed her, which it actually was, but He said it was her faith because without her faith reaching out, the power wouldn’t have flowed and the woman would not have gotten healed!

This is such an awesome example of how we too can receive healing for our bodies. Let’s look at the progression of steps:

  • She heard about Jesus and what He was doing–
  • She said and kept saying what she wanted–
  • She believed what she was saying–
  • She reached out and took her healing!

That’s exactly what we’re to do. The healing is already here – bought and paid for by the Blood of the Lord Jesus. We need to reach out and take it and be made whole!

Here’s another passage where Jesus told Bartimaeus that it was his faith that made him whole:

Mark 10:46-52 (KJV) 46  And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
48  And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49  And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50  And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51  And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52  And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

God Wants Everyone to be Healed! [Divine Healing – Part V]

Not only is it God’s will to heal, and not only is God able to heal, but His heart is for everyone to be healed! And that includes you!

There are no fences around God’s healing. It’s for everyone but as I’ve said many times, it’s not automatic. Our part is to receive what God, through Jesus, has already provided.

John 10:10 (KJV) 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 14:6 (KJV) 6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is the TRUTH and the truth is that you’re healing was bought and paid for at Calvary. Can I convince you that God wants to heal you? No, but the Holy Spirit, Who is our Teacher, can. My part is to give you God’s Word that reveals His will for you.

Acts 10:38 (KJV) 38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

In the Greek, the word oppressed means to exercise dominion against. And that’s exactly what sickness and disease does – it exercises dominion over you to bring you into bondage.

All sickness is from the devil because there’s no sickness in Heaven so God has no sickness in Him and can’t give it to you!

Matthew 6:10 (KJV) 10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Not only did Jesus heal everyone who came to Him, but He gave the disciples power to heal.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV) 8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Matthew 9:27-29 (KJV) 27  And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
28  And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29  Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Notice that it was “according to their faith” that they received healing. And that’s because faith activates the power of God. Even with the woman with the issue of blood (which we’ll look at later), there were lots of people touching and bumping into Jesus but the one who got healed was the woman with the blood issue. She activated the healing power in Jesus by her faith. Jesus even told her that it was her faith that healed her [Mark 5:25-34].

Jesus healed every sickness and disease and He healed them all!

Matthew 4:23-24 (KJV) 23  And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
24  And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Matthew 9:35 (KJV) 35  And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Matthew 12:15 (KJV) 15  But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
Matthew 19:1-2 (KJV) 1  And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
2  And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

Matthew 21:14 (KJV) 14  And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

Are Symptoms Hindering Your Faith? [Divine Healing – Part IV]

Have you never noticed that it seems easier to pray for others than for yourself? Why is that? Perhaps because when praying for others, you don’t have to stay around observing the symptoms.

But when you pray for yourself, if you don’t see immediate results, you’re left facing the symptoms and it can affect your faith. This is not the time to waver because you’ll negate your faith and get no desired results.

James 1:6-8 (KJV) 6  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Hebrews 10:23 (KJV) 23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Wavering is unbelief and unbelief will negate your faith – cancel it out! You can’t stand in faith and keep looking at the symptoms wondering when your healing will manifest. You have to dig your heels in and stand firm, believing that the prayer of faith is working and that you will recover.

Mark 16:18b (KJV) 18  … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Galatians 6:9 (KJV) 9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

We don’t have to beg and cry and carry on hoping that God will have pity on us and move on our behalf. God doesn’t have to move because He’s not stuck! He moved 2000 years ago when Jesus went to the Cross and paid the price for our sins and sickness.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Unfortunately there has been so much wrong teaching concerning divine healing and most of it came from the church!

If the devil can keep us in a passive state of non-resistance, wavering, and unbelief, then we’re not going to get our healing. We have to actively stand against his wiles and stand on God’s Word and get the manifestation of our healing!

1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) 8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Matthew 11:12 (KJV) 12  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

God’s Will is for Everyone to be Healed! [Divine Healing – Part III]

The main reason why it’s God’s will for everyone to be healed is because He has already provided it for us! And you don’t provide something that you don’t want people to have! That sounds like a no-brainer but many people, including Christians, are hard to convince.

Philippians 4:19 (KJV) 19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Is healing a need? Of course it is, if you’re sick. But just because God has supplied it, doesn’t mean you automatically get it because each person must do the receiving for themselves.

It’s like salvation. Even though God has already provided salvation for every human being, it’s not automatic. Salvation must be received individually.

Here are a few scriptures to show that everyone who came to Jesus for healing got healed.

Matthew 8:16 (KJV) 16  When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
Matthew 12:15 (KJV) 15  But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
Matthew 12:22 (KJV) 22  Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
Luke 6:17-19 (KJV) 17  And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
18  And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19  And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

And then there were the disciples:

Matthew 10:1,8(KJV) 1  And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Then Jesus tells us to do the same things He did:

John 14:12-14 (KJV) 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

We are to do the same works Jesus did. And notice John 14:14 that if we ask anything in Jesus’ Name, He will do it! Wow!

Here we see that ask means demand. We’re not demanding of God. We’re standing on our covenant rights and demanding that the devil ceases and desists in the Name of Jesus. We’re to take our authority and walk in the dominion God has ordained for us and be the overcomers we’re to be!

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Don’t take the path of least resistance that leads to failure. Yes it takes effort to stand and keep standing on God’s Word but it’s all so worth it!

The devil doesn’t give up easily but if we keep standing and resisting, he has to flee. We have the upper hand because we have God’s Word. The devil only has lies, deceit, and pretended wonders. If we don’t give him an opening, he can’t win.
